I chose to design it like this, because people who will see the cover of the book will be intrigued to know what is this tunnel? and would want to know where this girl is. The characters on the book cover look mysteries, and will interest people to wonder what is the book about.

Summary of the plot-

Coraline moves to a new home, where she feels bored and neglected by her parents.

while she was walking around the house she finds a hidden door, that only opens at night.

During the night, she crosses the door and discovers a world that looks like the same worlds she lives in, only with a slight difference, everyone there, has buttons instead of eyes.

Her “other mother” offers her to stay forever if she lets her sew buttons for her eyes.

she realizes, that this is only a trick to lure her, and escapes from the other world and saves her parents.

The characters:

Main character-Coraline jones

Coraline’s main attributes are her curiosity and her bravery.

She loves exploring and she is not afraid to face anything or anyone. Coraline described as being “small for her age”, and she is often not being taken seriously by adults.

Coraline sometimes didn’t appreciate her parents, but at the end, she does everything she can to rescue them.

Secondary character-The Cat

A black cat from coraline’s world. The cat appears to be sarcastic and humoristic. The cat helps and guides coraline through her journey. Unlike many of the characters, he does not have a “other world” counterpart. During their journey the cat slowly seems more attached to Coraline.

The character I liked the least

I liked Mrs. Jones (Coraline’s mom) the least, because although she wants always the best for Caroline, she doesn’t make Caroline feel like she does.
Coraline most of the time feels alone and that’s why she looks for adventures and Mrs. Jones can’t understand that, and thinks that Coraline is irritating .
That’s why I like her the least.

Book review

I recommend this book because the plot is very unique and fascinating, not like any other book i read, the characters are very interesting, funny and add a lot to the plot.

The book teaches us to be grateful of what we have, because what you want can sometimes not be what you wish for. It also teaches us to rely on yourself and also others, to be brave and not give up even if its hard.

The book has a lots of different genres like horror, dark fantasy and more.

I absolutely recommend the book and I enjoyed it a lot.
