This is me

Hi friend!!

My name is Matilde Pesaresi and I’m 15 years old. I was born on 8^th may 2006 in Italy.

I’m a girl and I’m tall and thin. I’ve got short, dark brown, wavy hair, but last year I had very long hair, they almost arrived at my waist. I don’t like wavy hair and, fortunately, my hair are easily workable, so I can make them straight every time I want to. I’ve got brown expressive eyes which, according to my relatives, are identical to my grandmother’s eyes. I wear glasses which are big and golden. My nose is normal but I don’t like so much. My lips are thin like my father’s one. I’ve worn braces for 6 years and now I have pretty good teeth. It was a sacrifice, because I hate braces, but today I’m really satisfied because I love my smile, is my favorite part of the face.

I think that the best adjective that represents me is bright because I try to be always positive and happy. Also I’m really determined and stubborn, in fact when I want something I do everything to obtain it. I think that the worst trait of my personality is that, at the beginning, I’m really shy with the people that I don’t know. But, after knowing me, I become a totally different person, because I’m really outgoing and, according to my friends, talkative and funny.

My family is one of the most important things in my life, in fact I have a really deep bond with them. My father’s name is Mauro and he is 53 years old, but he always says that he is younger because he doesn’t feel old. He is a coroner and, for my family and friends, I look like him in personality and physical appearance. In fact, he is stubborn, hard-working and always happy just like me. My mother’s name is Simona, she is 51 years old and she’s an office worker. I also look like her in personality, in fact we are both precise, calm and honest. I think that my parents are the best in the world, because they always let me do everything and, at the same time,they worry about me.

Then there’s my brother Edoardo, he is 9 and he is my “partner in crime”. For me and my friends, he is really good looking and funny. Differently from the other people who have got a brother, we are very attached to each otherIn fact, we don’t argue so much, most of the time we watch television together, we play board games or he teaches me how to play with the play station (but I suck in this kind of activities and, for this, he always wins). I also have a really important and unique bond with my cousin Marta, who is 23. We have always been like two sisters and we know everything about each other. We have two personalities completely different, but we get on really well.  Another really important person in my family is my only grandma Franca. I see her every day and she’s like a second best friend for me. When I want to do something she’s the first to encourage me and to believe in me. I really love her also because she always prepares divine dishes and she always tries to teach me how to cook.

I live in a flat in a small neighbourhood, mainly inhabited by old people. My apartment is at the first floor and it has the view on the sea. It isn’t large but I like it, I grew up there so I’m really attached to this place. My bedroom is a little bit small and I share it with my brother. It’s not always orderly and tidy, but I think it’s cozy. In about one or two years, my family and I will move in another apartment not far from our current one. It’s a penthouse from which you can see the sea and it’s bigger and more comfortable than the one in where we live.

I like all the sports and, in my life, I’ve tried many, from karate to swimming, from volleyball to gymnastic.  When I was like 6, I played tennis for 3 or 4 years and I was rather good. I started playing because my father loves tennis and he wanted me to try and understand how good it was as a sport. Unfortunately, I didn’t like my trainer, so I quit. This spring, I started thinking abut restarted tennis. I told it to my father and, during summer, we played tennis together. I really liked it, so I decided to restart it with another trainer. Now I play tennis with my best friend and we love playing together.

During the winter, I also go skiing with my family and friends. I don’t like skiing so much, because I don’t like the cold, in fact I prefer the warm and the beach and, as a consequence, I prefer swimming.

I have four best friends and we know ourselves since we were about 4 years old. I love hanging out with them and, in rainy days, we like staying home watching movies, playing board games and listening to music. I love all kind of music and I listen to it literally every day, I think that without music I wouldn’t be able to stay even one day. I think that music gives color to life and is a place in where you can refuge in moments of need. By the way, my favorite singers are Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Ariana Grande; I also love an Italian singer called Ultimo; my favorite band is “One Direction”, I’ve been listening to them since I was 8 years old. I really like the five boys who were part of the band (unfortunately they had taken a “break” in 2016) because they were funny and they didn’t fool themselves with success. Do you like listening to music?

During summer I love going to the beach with my friends. We usually take really long swims and stay there until the sunset and, sometimes, we have dinner there together.

I also enjoy watching Tv series and my favourite one is “Teen Wolf”. I really like it because is addictive, gripping and exciting. Also the cast is pretty good, the actors and the actresses are good looking and play their characters in such fascinating way that seem real people that you’ve known since always. If you haven’t watched it yet, do it as soon as possible, because it’s a masterpiece. Talking about masterpiece, my favourite movie is “Ghost”, it’s an old film, but it’s magnificent. It’s touchy and funny at the same time. Have you ever seen it?

I also love cinema and films in general, in fact, someday, I hope that I can visit Hollywood and meet some celebrity stars that I admire, like Jennifer Aniston and Zendaya.

In future, I dream of studying medicine and becoming a dentist or a coroner, just like my father. At the moment, my biggest dream is the end of the COVID-19. So I can restart living a normal life, going to the concerts of my favorite artists and hanging out with my friends. Fiends are really important in my life, they’re a part of me that makes me always happy and for this I really care about them. In fact, I dream of maintaining my actual friendships forever. Finally I dream of living a gorgeous life without regrets and building a lovely family just like mine now.
