Book Report – The Diary of a Young Girl

“The Diary of a Young Girl” is a diary – an Autobiography. That book was written by Anne Frank. The book is a diary that Anne Frank wrote.

Anne Frank is a 13-year-old girl, who lived in Holland. At the beginning of World War II, her world turns upside-down. She had to leave her house with her family and go to a hiding place. She moved with her dad, mom, and sister. There was another family there – van Daan family: Peter, his mom, and his dad. After a while, Pfeffer joined them. They were hiding from the Nazis because if they would find them, they would have killed all of them. In the diary, Anne describes her feelings and her personal emotions. The story ends when the war relaxed a bit. There is no real end for the diary because she dies, and the diary ends with that.

I made a new cover for the book, I added the place where she lived for 4 years – the annex. I also put her real diary on the cover, so everyone can see it.

The characters:

Anne Frank – Anne was a regular girl, she played sport, love, write and learn like every 13 years old child. Her life has changed when the war starts, and she goes into a hiding place. She becomes a teenager and falls in love with peter. She couldn’t grow up like anyone else because she couldn’t get out of her hiding place.

Peter van Daan – Peter is a boy, and he is hiding with Anne. During the story, he becomes her boyfriend. Peter and Anne talk a lot, and Anne goes to his room very often. Peter falls in love with Anne in the middle of the book, even though in the start he thought she was weird.

My favorite character is Anne, because she describes her life and was very honest in everything she said. Anne was being positive the entire time. Anne always wanted everyone to be happy.

I highly recommend you read the book. The story is very interesting and exciting. It’s a classic book and I think that everyone needs to read it. It is a very sad book, and it takes you to the world of a young girl during such a hard time and you get to experience her life.
