Vaumar is a restaurant but it is also a cafeteria. Its opening hours are from 7.30 am to midnight, except on Mondays.

               S’Albufera

S’Albufera is a national park located in Mallorca (It belongs to 3 villages which are Sa Pobla, Muro and Alcúdia.)

You can walk to the lagoon.

It recently caught fire.

It makes 1646 square hectares of plot.

It was declared a Natural Park 22 years ago.

There are many species of animals in s’Albufera

 Church of Sant Antoni Abat

The church of Sant Antoni Abat is the church of sa Pobla (Mallorca). It was built from 1315 to 1734. It’s near to the Mayor Square and to the library. It has that name for the Saint Antoni the pattern of the animals. Now the church it’s very huge and tall. It has two entrances and next to the church there is a square called the Square of Alexandre Ballester. Near the church there also a few of streets. In the church there are a lot of pews to seat, many candles and one altar…

BASKETBALL COURT

Hello, I will show you a basketball court that is located in our  town where many people who have fun play. There are many teams that play.

Basketball is a team sport, played between two teams of five players

The goal of the team is to score points putting the ball through the basket.

There are many types of basketball; for example, women’s basketball, wheelchair basketball and men’s basketball.

I’M GOING TO DESCRIBE A POPULAR RESTAURANT IN SA POBLA.

THIS RESTAURANT MAKES VERY GOOD FOOD: LOIN, TONGUE …

AS MUCH YOU COME INSIDE THE RESTAURANT YOU SEE THE BAR. THE FOOD IS UP AND YOU CAN CHOOSE WHAT YOU WANT.

THERE IS ALSO A VERY SPACIOUS KITCHEN.

IF YOU GO A LITTLE BIT YOU WILL SEE TWO TOILETS, ONE FOR MEN AND ONE FOR WOMEN.

AT THE END OF THE RESTAURANT

THERE IS A VERY BIG TERRACE.

CAN CALENT

Can Calent, in the center of the town, over the years, Mr. Tomeu has been the father of sweets, chips, and the best of “water with snow” (a tipical icy drink which is only made by can Calent).

Let’s talk a bit about the owner. He has a girl and a wife, who help him at work. Normally he works alone as the platform is quite small. This man is quite exemplary. He gives an extra treatment to the customers.

Sa Ronda

Sa ronda is like a road but around the town. People go to walk, run or to go cycling. You can see a lot of things: wind malls,  sport center, the cemetery, shops and a lot of parks. Sa ronda is 5 kilometres long ( more o less). At ronda you can’t go by car so it isn’t dangerous. Sa ronda is like a gym but outside so you don’t have to pay, it’s free. You can go at any hour. If you want to go for a walk you don’t have to wear a mask. ( if you want, you can wear it )

Sa ronda is a shortcut if you want to go to shops because it goes all around the town.

The mills

It is a machine that uses the energy of the wind for different  tasks . This energy comes from the action of the force of the wind on oblique blades attaches to a common axis. The rotating shaft can be connected to various types  of  machinery to pum water to water the potatoes plants.

SKATEPARK

The skatepark is located in sa Pobla (Mallorca, Balears) and was created in 2014.

 

The skatepark is made up of medium-height ramps and pieces inspired by urban elements.

It has an area of ​​600 square meters.

Crestatx

In this a small town that is between Pollença and Sa Pobla. There is a tiny hermitage. There is a school in which they only speak English and around there are many summer houses. On Tuesday after Easter, there is a party and there we eat a traditional dish called “arròs brut”. There also are special races for the children. The winner of the race wins a toy.

SA POBLA MAIN SQUARE

The main square of the village has 7 or 8 bars. In the bars they make very good meals. In the center there is a stage that is surrounded by trees. The bars are open from January until the end of December.

The museum of Sant Antoni

I’m going to talk about the museum of Saint Anthony.The museum of Saint Anthony is in Sa Pobla. It’s a really good place to visit in January. It’s the place where we keep the devils and bigheads the whole year. The demons have red clothes  with a mixture of eagle and a lion in the middle of the shirt.  The demons put on fake heads.  The bigheads wear different clothes.  There are 11 bigheads : red clown, black clown, grouxo, gepetto, turco, chico, harpo, black man, black woman, old guardian and young guardian. When it’s night time we have bonfires and we eat: sausages, bacon and dry meat similar to chorizo. After we go to the square to run around with the demons and we watch the fireworks in the sky. The devils and bigheads dance in the main square.

Swimming area

I will describe an area of the sports centre that is the swimming area.

There are 2 swimming pools, one indoor and one outdoor. You must be two or three years old to go swimming. I went swimming when I was little. It is a good place for children who want to learn to swim.

Sa Fortalesa restaurant

There is a restaurant called Sa Fortalesa. It ‘s located in Sa Pobla, Mallorca. It is an old bar. It is the most important restaurant. The restaurant’s menu includes food such as meat and fish. The food is delicious.

Sa Pobla Town Hall

The town hall of Sa Pobla is where the mayor of Sa Pobla works, where they organize the festivities and take decisions to make more progress in all places …. It is located in the center of town, that is, in the main square. It was founded in 1368 by Pere Cerimoniós.

The building is very big and at Christmas is very colorful. You can see our two giants through the glass windows.

FOOTBALL AREA

I will describe the sports center dealing with the part related to football. Our sports center has 2 football pitches, one with artificial grass and another with natural grass. The one with artificial grass is where all the boys and girls who play for the Poblense village team play or train.

It is a 100 meters long and 50 meters wide field. It also has four spotlights to illuminate the stadium, 2 goals for adults and 4 for children. Finally the artificial grass field has a scoreboard and a grandstand.

The professional team (the big ones) play in the natural grass stadium. It has 2 goals, a scoreboard and 4 more spotlights to illuminate the field in the evening. That’s all you need to know about the sports center in our town.

Sports center (Tennis)

It is the area of ​​ tennis in the sports center. It has four courts. You can play tennis if you reserve a court to play or go to tennis classes. They were created a long time ago. People of all ages play tennis there.
