Today I decided to go on a trip to the Amazon rainforest with my friends, and Ed Stafford.

7th April 2008

We researched online about the Amazon rainforest and surviving in there. We have discovered that inside the forest live some of the most poisonous creatures in the whole world! Therefore, we brought the required medicine. We found out that walking there is very difficult because most of the area is very muddy so we will need boots. The journey supposed to be very long, therefore we need to bring a lot of water, food and survival supplies. We learned our walking route, and decided to bring mountaineering equipment.

We also brought walkie-talkies, in case we will get lost.

Also, bandages, sleeping bags and flashlights.

7th May 2008

After a whole month of preparation for the trip, we arrived to the Amazon rainforest. As we expected the whole area was very muddy.

Ed told us to wear our boots. After a few hours of walking in the mud, my friends and I felt exhausted. We did not expect the walk to be so difficult. After a few more hours of walking, the sun went down.

The sunset was very beautiful. When it got dark, we took out our flashlights and kept walking. The forest is very scary at night. We decided to stop walking and go to sleep. We set a campfire and took the sleeping bags out. A long journey awaits for us and we must be prepared.

7th May 2009

A whole year has passed since we started our journey. We are  used to live in nature and walking a lot, but miss our families and homes. Also The journey is very depressing but fun at the same time. Today Ed pushed one of my friends by accident. He fell on his leg and luckily did not break it. If he had broken his leg we would have to stop our journey and return home. We are almost halfway there. However, we still have a long way to walk. So far, we have seen amazing views. Luckily, we did not see any toxic creatures.

24th July 2010

Today we reached the end of our route, and finished the journey. It was very exhausting, but it was worth the money. I would love to go back there. I will never forget that experience. The view was amazing and I saw things that I had never seen in my life.  Next time I will bring with me a picture of my family, because I really missed them during the trip and did not see them for two years.
