Logic Puzzle

A logic puzzle is a puzzle deriving from the mathematical field of deduction. Solving such a puzzle is based on logic rules rather than general knowledge or intuition.

The logic puzzle was first produced by Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, who is better known under his pen name Lewis Carroll, the author of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.

Some logic puzzles introduce a set of premises, from which you should draw specific conclusions.

There are also popular non-verbal logic puzzles, such as Sudoku, nonogram (paint by numbers), logic grid puzzles etc.

Zebra Puzzle

The Zebra puzzle is a well-known logic grid puzzle. There are many versions of the puzzle, and it is sometimes called Einstein’s riddle, because it is said to have been invented by  Albert Einstein as a boy (although there is no evidence for this.

In one of its most famous versions, published in Life magazine in 1962, the last question introduced was “Who owns the zebra?”.

It is believed that only 2% of people can solve the zebra puzzle. We believe many more can do it, with a little practice

It’s time to begin with some easier zebra puzzles, that can help you learn the basics and prepare for the real thing…
