How to Sell Your eBooks using the Ourboox Platform

Ourboox is a social platform. We create books and share them for free with the world.

However, recently we have been approached by several authors who want/need to make money from the sale of their books. And we respect that too.

So here is one way to have the best of both worlds. You create your book (either interactive or PDF) just as you normally would using the Ourboox platform (the simplest platform there is!).

After you have created your new book, make it private rather than public (this is a premium service, but it’s only two dollars a month).

The link to the book will shift to an alphanumeric link. For example, if I converted this book to ‘private’, its link would change to:

“https://www.ourboox.com/book-preview/912972/“

Next, you open an account with a web platform such as Gumroad.com, which allows you to sell links to private content.

I recently tested the waters with my book on halitosis, “Save Your Breath”. I created a private URL, created an account on Gumroad and now my book is on the Ourboox platform, yet is not available to the public and can be purchased only via Gumroad via this url: https://gumroad.com/l/lGCrEr

Once the purchase is made, the customer automatically receives the link to the book and can peruse it at leisure on any device.
