Our Teenage Party Ended in Tears

We were at High School.

When our friend’s parents went away on holiday, they left their teenage son alone in the house. Arda,aged 16, wanted to stay at home because he was revising for exams. His parents said he could have some friends to stay.

However, Arda decided to have a party. Everyone was having a good time when suddenly things started to go wrong. Eleven uninvited guests arrived, and some of them were carrying knives. They broke furniture, smashed windows, and stole jewellery.

When Arda’s parents, Mr and Mrs Arıkoğlu heard the news, they came home immediately. So, they called the police.
