During the military, they were best friends, 2 patrol fighters.
Michael was a religious guy living in Jerusalem and Tamir was a secular guy from Mitzpe Ramon.
After leaving Gaza:
Michael: I’m in shock that we survived this
Tamir: Believe me, thanks to your prayers
Michael: Since when do you believe in prayers?
Tamir: Look, faith is power, I’m not a religious guy, but being in Gaza except believing that everything will go through peace and praying is nothing left, our unity and faith is what held me strong.
Michael: I’m glad to hear, I won’t forget how you saved me from the rooftop sniper in the hallway near the hospital, thank you!
Tamir: You are my best friend, and regardless of that I would do it for anyone, we are a team, we have unity that cannot be taken.
Michael: Another month we are freeing up, we have to go hiking in the country, doing the Israel Trail.
Tamir: I would love to do that with you, another month and we are there, I have to invite Dana to dinner, I finish the service here, I have nothing to lose.
Michael: Good luck
A week after the military ended, Tamir and Dana became a couple and spent all day
together, Tamir got a serious illness, but that didn’t stop him from keeping Michael’s
promise to go for a walk together.
Michael: I’m with you every step, how did you tell me after leaving Gaza, a believing person is a man of strength, this disease will pass, do not stop believing and praying.
Tamir: Thanks a lot, dude, let’s go on a trip already, you are my best friend ever.
Michael: I’m in shock that we finished this route, it was really hard, 12 hours of walking in a stream with the coldest water there.
Tamir: I believed we would succeed, when we’re together who can stop us ??
Michael: Nothing.
The evening came, and with it darkness, Tamir and Michael entered the tent.
Tamir: How about I suggest Dana get married at the end of our trip?
Michael: What an exciting statement, how are you sure this is the woman for life?
Tamir: Dana is amazing, she has a lot of good qualities, but there was one sentence I will never forget. When I told her about my illness …..
Michael: Now what did she say
Tamir: We’ll go through it together, you see she said we, she believes in me.
Michael: She really sounds amazing, even though you don’t have to tell me who Dana is, I remember her from the basics.
Two months later, Tamir and Michael finished the trip, Dana waited impatiently for
Tamir to arrive, but did not expect such a surprise.
Dana: My love what fun you have come back, I always believed you would be able to finish these difficult tracks.
Tamir: I ended them with my health because of you, because of the belief that I am coming back to you.
Dana: Sit down to eat, I made you a delicious dinner, you must have eaten a lot of canned food there, you’re hungry.
Tamir: Wait, I want to show you something first, come with me to the balcony for a moment.
Dana: I get the fish out of the oven and come
Tamir: Dana marry me?
Dana: I’m really excited, I’m in shock, obviously, I love you from the first moment I saw you at the base.
A year later Tamir and Dana got married and Tamir recovered from the disease a
month after the wedding.
Michael: Tamir and Dana I love you !! I said to you, “Those who believe are not afraid”
