THE WITCH WHO ALMOST FELL IN LOVE

It was on a regular cloudy Tuesday when Matilda the wicked witch saw him for the first time.

He was sitting on the stairs of the university for magic waiting for the Taxi driver to pick him up. He was good looking and smiled right at her. Nobody every smiled to her before, everybody knew she is a witch.

Matilda mustered up all of her courage  and decided to go ask him out.

He said yes!

Matilda though that he must be an alien, who wants to go out with a witch?

Matilda was so nervous. At first she thought maybe he could come over to her castle and they can bake cookies together. Then she realized he is a boy and that it’s a bad idea, besides she doesn’t know where she put her cookie-cutter anyway…

At 6 PM sharp he was standing at the door to pick her up for yogurt.

He didn’t know that wicked witches can’t eat sugar (that’s why they are mean), so they changed plans and headed out to go dancing.

On the way to the club they saw a man selling flowers on the street. Matilda wanted to laugh at him but just before she did, her date pulled a quarter out of his pocket and bought her a flower saying that his heart goes out to people like that.

Matilda was shocked!

She stared to feel her jealousy nerve crawling up her spine.

Is his kindness not specially for her?

Matilda never met a kind person before, once she felt it she couldn’t stand the thought of him being kind to anyone else!

The next thing she knows she is yelling at him in the middle of the street telling him he can’t be kind to anyone else ever in his lifetime!

Now, he only felt pity for her…

When she realized what she has done she begged him to forgive her.

It was then when she understood her she wants to be a good witch. It makes you feel better, everyone treats you better and you can eat sugar!

She explained that she is hungry to be treated kindly and to overcome her wicked witch-like behavior.

We all have a hunger…
