The Adventures of Jetta Palermusenn, Donitza Luridotir and Mollie the Telepathic Lizard By Mira Flomin and Shirley Simovich

Our story starts with a pair of Scandalonian scientists, Prof. Jetta  Palermusenn and her girlfriend and research partner Dr. Donitza Luridotir, who were in search of the mythical goblet of the holy Goddess Namaro. Their quest took them to the glittering caves in the Luscimania hills of the magical forest Wondermir.

As they were wondering the cave these wondrous, colourful, velvety, luminescent rainbow coloured creatures started falling on their heads. At first they were flabbergasted and thought they had encountered a new species of bat, however as they began ungluing the glittering creatures, they realized they looked like large geckos.

Jetta and Donitza took one of the extraordinary animals with them to the University of Scandalonia and presented it to the head of the Biology department Prof. Andreana Polkish who determined that it is an unknown species of lizard unknown to science and instructed the pair to name it. They named her “MOLLIE” after their dearly departed pet koala.

Several days had gone by Jetta and Donitza grew infatuated with their new discovery. Mollie became their companion, their dearest friend and their confidante. She was so wise and it was as if she could read their thoughts and minds…nothing escaped her attention.

Mollie told the pair many things about her family: they weigh about a pound, their length varies between 26-28 cm, the females chase after the males and are generally more colourful and luminescent. After copulation, the purple, glittering, fertilised eggs are transferred into the males who spew 8-10 live tadpole like creatures  after 2 weeks, making this one of a kind lizard the only one of two species whose males get pregnant!

Mollie continued to communicate telepathically with Jetta and Donitza through a journey of self discovery inspired by their secret thoughts. Through her they realized things about themselves they had never known. They found they started working faster and becoming more original.

Mollie had asked them to take her back to the glowing caves in the forest where they first discovered her.  At night when there was nobody in the lab they took har out of the locked cage in which she was held. At first they thought that she wanted to go back home… but that was not the case.

Mollie wanted to show them other beings that lived in the caves, they discovered causeways and pathways that they were not aware of their existence. Most important of all Mollie showed them the amazing, magnificent, luciferous talking caterpillar that they could only have dreamt about finding, which none of the other scientists had yet to discover.

They revealed their discovery of the “Palermoluri” caterpillar to the world through the pages of “National Scientific Magazine”. The academic community was so overwhelmed that they decided to award the two researchers the highest prize in the universe – “The Nobelismus Tropaeum”. Jetta and Donitza continued locating more bizarre and unique animals with the help of their constant companion Mollie (who later turned out to be a wonderful babysitter to the couples many children).
