The doctor

Day one-introduction

The war is finally over, and I can go back home. I am still wandering why I felt the need to. Japan is a very safe place and as long as our ruler doesn’t tell us so’ it is our duty to not mix with the west, especially when it puts you in danger, but something in that war seemed different and I hope that the people of my beloved will never find themselves in extreme situations like these, people were being sent to their death almost every day. ( this doctor found himself on an aircraft carrier in midway and his future son performed a kamikaze attack in 1944, ironic). My cabin mate, an American soldier might represent the reason I did it. This guy is worth saving. If I will have children in the future, I wish that they will know that the people in the other side of the ocean are very gentle( his son despised the American thanks to Japanese propaganda).

Day six- party day

Have I said that this Mr. know-all is a show-off? Even if I have, show off is not enough to describe him. After the golf match yesterday, which he obviously won by an enormous margin, today he organized a ball night to celebrate the Jewish Shabbat, whatever that is. I think he just wanted to show us again how  rich he is. He played music, brought gifts to everyone, and finally preformed his infamous card trick show. Then he did something that taught me how unfair the world might be. He brought Gin and Whisky to the party just to show us again how rich he is. He also behaves like a control freak; he follow his cabin mate everywhere, he has already taken care of almost everything on this ship, he chooses the topics of discussion in the dinner table and he is also the only one who discusses about those topics.

Day Seven-the argument

Unbelievable, someone has decided to resist Mr. Kelada’s reign of terror. The name of the hero is Mr. Ramsay who was probably offended by today’s talk/ lecture. I do not remember what the argument was about, but I remember Mr. know all looked pale and humiliated, so he began speaking nonstop but Mr. Ramsay kept interrupting and probably corrected him. This quarrel lasted four hours and people gathered around the two to see the man who resisted the rich control freak and probably beat him . Mr. Ramsay could not continue arguing all day, so he left after four hours  and Kelada claimed that it was because Mr. Ramsay had been proven to be wrong, but I did not believe him. Unfortunately, Mr. Kelada was very determined to tell us every little flaw in Mr. Ramsay’s claims, so the day ended badly.

Day Twelve- the bet

Mr. Ramsay did not give up. After proving that silencing Mr. know all using valid arguments is possible, he attempted it in every single opportunity, and sometimes it succeeded, sometimes Mr. know all had to stop and think for A WHOLE MINUTE. Today things became personal  when  Kelada’s cabin mate who I do not know his name because I was not able to find it in the story commented something about Mrs. Ramsay’s necklace and Mr. Kelada, who happens to be an expert in pearl said they were very expensive. Mr. Ramsay took the chance said he was wrong, that the pearls were fake and cheap, but Mr. know all thought he knows better than the person who bought those pearls but instead  of arguing about it, he proposed a bet. If I knew that money makes him stop, I would have  paid him all my savings to keep his mouth shut. Anyway, Mr. Kelada checked the pearls and confirmed that they were fake, obviously.

Day Fourteen- final day

Mr. Kelada could not leave the ship without another earthquake. He told us that Mrs. Ramsay cheated on her husband with a rich guy that was able to afford the expensive necklace that is made of real pearls. He is doing the right thing in telling but probably from the wrong reasons. He just could not let people thing that he was wrong. Mr. Ramsay has not heard anything but in the few  hours remaining until the ship arrives at the Japanese port he will find out, and Mr. Kelada will leave a final mark on everybody.
