This beautiful land lies at the crossroads of and Africa and it has therefore always been an important meeting point for different cultures. Archaeolgical remains are mostly from canaanite, Roman, Byzantine and Islamic times and they are found across the country- often in its ancient cities.

Jerusalem

Jerusalem in danger :
Jerusalem is well-known to all of the people from the three religions that it is a holy city. Alquds
is the name that Omar Ben Alhkhatab has chosen for it. This name has many meanings to us as
Muslims. Not only it is the city that has Al-aqsa mosque but also it is where Muhammad peace
be upon him has stepped on it’ soil and prayed followed by the messengers and prophets .
Not only it’s the first Kiblah but it is the third precious place for Muslims in all over the world.
Nowadays Jerusalem is in a big danger.

Palestine city :
It is a Palestinian city, and it is the first of the two kisses and the third of the Two Holy Mosques,
and it is one of the most important cities in history; its history abounds with many events that
made it the focus of attention of the whole world. It was named after many names, including the
city of valleys, Jerusalem, the flower of cities, Jerusalem, Elijah.

Jerusalem City location:
Jerusalem is located in central Palestine, approximately to the east of the Mediterranean, on a
mountain range with slopes.
Jerusalem city climate :
Jerusalem has an average climate where the weather is hot and dry in summer, and it is rainy in
winter

Jerusalem city History :
It is one of the oldest cities in the world, and its history dates back to more than five thousand
years. Jerusalem, and after that in the Greek era, they were called Elia, which means the house
of God, and the original inhabitants of Jerusalem are Jebusites, and they are from the Canaanite
Arab tribes.

Jericho

Jericho is one of the oldest cities of Canaanite Palestine, its ruins are located on Tel Sultan. The Canaanites called it (yareeho), meaning the
city of the moon.

 

On the opposite side of the hill is located the spring of Ain Al-Sultan, which is one of the most important springs of Jericho due to the abundance of its water compared to other springs near the city, such as: Al-Nuwaimah Spring, Aldeeka, Al-Auja, and Al-Qalt.

 

Among the archaeological and cultural monuments are examples of it:
the ruins of Tal al-Sultan, the Monastery of Qarnatul, and the Hisham’s Palace. There is also the southwest of the city the shrine of the Prophet Moses, and the valley of Qalt in the south.

Jericho enjoys economic importance, being a tourist city, if it is visited by many tourists, as it is considered the food basket of Palestine and is famous for growing citrus fruits, bananas, vegetables, and palm .trees

BETHLEHEM

The city of Bethlehem is located:

 to the south of the city of Jerusalem, and it is connected geographically and demographically with the cities of Beit Sahour and Beit Jala, and it has been given several names, including: Efrata and Bayt Al-khoBiz.

The city of Bethlehem has a great religious importance for Christians :

Where there are a number of monasteries and churches, the most important of which are:

Church of the Nativity (in which Jesus Christ, peace be upon him) was born

And the Church of the Milk Cave.

 

The city of Bethlehem is an important tourist center :

It is famous for its tourism industries: such as wooden artifacts and embroidery, in addition to the presence of hotels and restaurants.

 

It is an archaeological site located in the city:

Bethlehem of Solomon’s Three Ponds, Herodos Castle .

Hebron

The city of Hebron is located:

in the central region of Palestine. Hebron is an
important historical and religious city,
built by the Canaanites and known as
(Habre) and means companionship, and
also known as (Khalil Rahman) relative
to our master Ibrahim, peace be upon
him.

 

The economy of the city of Hebron
depends on agriculture, such as:

– Khalili grapes

– figs

– Almonds

– Olives

The Hebron trade relies on various
commodities and merchandise for different
prices.

 

The industry of Hebron depends:

on the manufacture of plastics – glass – shoes.

Nablus

Label the city :
The name of the city of Nablus
The Canaanites founded the city of Nablus in the middle of the third millennium B.C. at the
eastern entrance to the city that currently exists, at that time it was called Shakim, which means
the high place, and after that the Romans settled there after Christmas, and they demolished the
city of Shekim, and the Roman Emperor Qasbazyan built the city of Nablus currently known, and
launched It has the name Neapolis, which means the new city, and then lettered its name, and it
became known as Nablus, which is known today.

The city of Nablus :
The city of Nablus is one of the largest Palestinian cities in terms of population, and the most
important is its location. It is also the capital of the economic state of Palestine, and the seat of
the largest universities in it, which is Nablus, the capital of the northern West Bank, in addition to
being considered as the center of the Nablus Governorate, which includes fifty-six villages.

 

Location & Climate :
The city of Nablus is considered the heart of Palestine, as it links the north to the south and east
to the west, and the city is characterized by an important geographical location, as it mediates
the Palestinian mountain highlands region and the mountains of Nablus, which is a link between
the mountain chain of cities from north to south.

Haifa (Mermaid)

Location :

Haifa is considered one of the largest and most important historical Palestinian
cities, it is located on the eastern coast of the Mediterranean Sea and is located about 158 km2
from Jerusalem.

Haifa is divided into 3 layers :
1- Lower town
2- Middle class
3- The upper city
The climate : Haifa has a pristine climate where it is hot, not rainy in summer and rainy in
winter.

The famous landmarks of Haifa :
1-Baha’i sites
2- Istiqlal Mosque
3-Monastery of Carmel
4-Saint Church

 

One of the most famous fruits that Haifa is famous for orange.

GAZA

INTRODUCTION TO GAZA:

The Gaza Strip or simply Gaza, is a self-governing Palestinian territory on
the eastern coast of the Mediterranean Sea, that borders Egypt on the southwest for The territories of Gaza and the West Bank are separated from each other by
Israeli territory. Both fell under the jurisdiction of the Palestinian Authority,
but Gaza has since June 2007 been governed by Hamas, a Palestinian
fundamentalist militant Islamic organizationwhich came to power in free
elections in 2006. It has been placed under an Israeli and U.S.-led
international economic and political boycott from that time onwards.

 

WHAT IS GAZA FAMOUS FOR?

Gaza is famous for cultivating and exporting flowers, and in the past it was famous for growing various crops, such as cotton, barley, and wheat, and for exporting them abroad. Among the crops that Gaza grows are: tomatoes, potatoes, grapes, cucumbers, melons, strawberries, figs, and watermelons, as well as spread citrus citrus fruits. Like lemon and orange.
