Peter and the Kidnapper of the President by Liron Lev & Alexandra (Sasha) Yakren

Hello dear readers, today I am going to share with you all, the most meaningful day of my life, the day I caught the most famous criminal in the world!

It happened when I was a young boy of 12 years old. My father, Jon, worked as the chief of the police station in our town, and my mother, Danny, worked as an English teacher in my school.  We also had a cat, Tyrone.

One evening, while we were having dinner, my father told me and my mother about the most famous criminal in the world. Papa told us that this man has robed every possible museum in the world, he also hacked the computers of the White House and stole important documents! Papa continued telling us other things that this bad man has done, and that now this criminal, called “Mister X”, is planning to kidnap the president!

I was so excited and nervous about this story! I wanted to help my father and also to save the president, therefore, one weekend when my father and his police officers drove to the White House in order to catch Mister X, I sneaked into my father’s police patrol vehicle.

I was hiding under a blanket in the back seats of my father’s police car until we reached the White House.

I have waited for the right moment to sneak out of the car and go to the president to guard him.

I went to the president’s office and then I saw it! Mister X was sitting near the president who was tied down to his chair and his mouth shot with a rag! The president saw me and was signaling me to run away. In response, I signaled him that everything would be alright, and that I will save him.

I took my phone out, sent a message to Papa explaining the whole situation, and asking him to call me and act as though the police is inside the building and knows everything. I put my phone on speaker, so Mister X could hear the police. He was so scared that he jumped outside the window, right into the hands of my father and the police officers.

Papa was very pleased with my police work, so he did not to punish me. The president was amazed by my courage, and decided to award me a medal for my bravery!

From that day on, I have decided to protect people and the law, and now I am the head of security of the White House.

You can never know how even the smallest decision, such as helping my father with his job, can lead you to fulfilling your dream and live the life you want. So keep on dreaming and chasing your dreams!
