For the next few weeks, if not months, we all have to make great changes in our everyday lives so we can fight the Corona virus. Staying home for so many days can be really tough, that’s why I have organized some tips and advice on how to survive the quarantine.

Waking up after a good night’s sleep is the best way to start the day. When no one is waiting for you at work in the morning, it’s easy to spend this time going to sleep super late at night, and therefore waking up at noon. Maintaining a normal sleep schedule is crucial to the body and mind.

Experts say Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. During quarantine all meals are important! Ordering take-away is the easiest way to handle quarantine, but cooking and eating balanced meals is crucial for the body to receive all its nutrients especially during this time.

The most important advice for quarantine is to exercise! Staying at home for a long time can cause weight gain. Our bodies are moving much less than before, and most of us naturally eat more if we’re home all day. Move your bodies! Try a YouTube workout video, or an online zoom class!

Even if we’re staying home all day, we’re still not 100% disconnected to the outside world, that’s why cleaning and disinfecting the house is necessary every few days. If you live at home with another person, have fun with it by sharing the cleaning responsibilities and putting on some music!

After a long day of cooking, working out, cleaning, and hopefully catching up on school work, it’s also important to use this time in quarantine to just relax, enjoy a new movie or show, read a book, play a game, and enjoy some free time with either yourself, your close family, your significant other, your roommate, or even your dog.
