As part of our studies curriculum at Shenkar College,

we need to OPEN a door and be apart of “Merkacha” week.

Every student needs to pick a door and open it.

Last year I OPENED the door for me, and took part in TOM’s project.

TOM was about meeting people with disabilities, learn their needs and problems, and with in a week find and present a fix suitable for anyone.

All students, myself included had an amazing week.

We met unique, new and different people, we were creative and had results!

At the last day of the week, the parent of a 4 year old child who took part as a “customer” in this project, OPENED the door to us.

He asked if we can spread the word that his boy needs donations for a surgery he will have in the following year in order to be able to walk for the first time in his life.

I decided to OPEN this door for an amazing boy that just wants to walk like the rest of us.

Together with my cousin and a lot of amazing people, we started to plan a fundraising event for the amazing boy.

We found out when you OPEN a door you find even more doors,

and a lot of people are willing to help you go through the door.

The event was remarkable and we were able to raise almost 20 K for the AMAZING BOY!

OPEN doors, because you don’t know where it will lead you.

OPEN doors, because you will find more amazing people.

OPEN doors, because it will do GOOD for OTHERS & YOURSELF!
