What is Tsunami?
Tsunamis are ocean waves triggered by large earthquakes that occur near or under the ocean, volcanic eruptions, submarine landslides, and by onshore landslides in which large volumes of debris fall into the water.
What to do if a tsunami strikes?
well, theres a lot of options:
first, you need to run away, because you can drown in the tsunami, and it will end in your death.
second thing, up to high place and stay till the tsunami
over.
last but not least, go away at least one km from the beach.
The tsunami disaster at 2004
At December 2004, a strong earthquake occurred the Indian Ocean. About 300,000 people were died by a tsunami wave that washed ashore countries – Sri Lanka, India, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and the Maldives.
People, objects and cars just drifted into the water.
The water flooded the entire islands, and many people remained homeless.
My personal experience from the tsunami at 2004
I was in Thailand on Phuket Island with a friend.
Suddenly I felt the whole earth shaking and a big wave came and blew us.
I was very scared. I saw a lot of people crying and screaming and looking for their friends and family.
It took me hours to find my friend.
After finding him, we walked for hours to find a safe place.
