Learning English in the 7th grade.

Instructions:

1. Watch the animation clip.
2. Write a short story (3-4 sentences) based on what you saw in the clip.
3. Give the story a title.
4. Make sure to name the dog and at least one more character.

Blog Assignment

1. Read the following moral dilemma.
2. You will be divided into three groups. Each group will discuss in a separate forum the dilemma presented, you must decide on the best action in your opinion, in which the Cohen family should act.
3. After each group has reached a separate decision on its forum, you must go to the general forum and select one representative that will bring up the solution that your group has proposed to solve the dilemma.
4. Once the three solutions have been presented to all groups, you must discuss the pro and against of each solution.
5. Finally, you must decide which of the three solutions is the best. After discussing the dilemma for three weeks, a vote will be taken to select the best proposal.

The tragedy of the Cohen family

The Cohen family is in conflict. Uri had a car accident, was critically injured and is in a coma and breathing with the aid of a respirator. Doctors told the family that Uri was unlikely to return to function and that Uri should be disconnected from the devices. The family’s father, Yaron and the eldest daughter Liat, do not agree to sever Uri from the ventilator. They believe that even if the odds are low, a miracle can still occur where Uri will wake up. And that one must not disconnect from the devices and should give every soul a chance. The family’s mother, Dana and the youngest son Guy, agree with the doctors that Uri will not be back as he was and that they should unplug him from the devices and release him, not let him suffer. Keeping Uri connected to these devices is selfish. The family should think what is best for Uri and not the difficulty that the family will have because they will miss seeing Uri around.
