Reginald Kenneth Dwight (known as Elton John) was born on march 25 1947,in Pinner,middlesex,England.

He discovered his passion for music at an early age and taught himself how to play the piano when he was only four years old. Proving to be a great talent, he w

on a scholarship to a youth program at the Royal Academy of Music in London.

In 1968 John met Bernie Taupin , who became his long-term song-writing partner. John’s first album, Empty Sky (1969), was a commercial failure. His second album contained “Your Song,” a hit in both the United States and England. In 1972 “Rocket Man” became his first number-one single in America.  The album Goodbye Yellow Brick Road (1973) contained “Candle in the Wind,” written about actress Marilyn Monroe.
