What Formed the White Bluffs? by Alrabab Talib - Illustrated by Alrabab Talib - Ourboox.com

I infer that this land form, White Bluffs in Washington, was formed by the sediments deposited by the water and wind agents. I believe White Bluffs in Washington was formed by deposition from wind and water because of my observations. In the picture, White Bluffs isn’t completely surrounded by water, there is some land blocking the waters way. This observation helps me infer that sediments from the Columbia River could have washed up and overtime formed this land form. I also think wind formed White Bluffs in Washington because wind can easily pick up sediment. When there’s no wind anymore, the sediment gets deposited in a new location. I believe this possibly could have happened while the land form was getting built on top of, with more more sediment. On Hanford Reach-U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service it says, “…known as the White Bluffs, was formed from river and lake sediment deposited by the ancestral Columbia River and its tributaries.” This information helps me understand that White Bluffs in Washing was formed from sediments getting built on top of each other by the Columbia River. That is why I think White Bluffs in Washington was formed by deposition by water and wind.
