INTRODUCTION
This book that I have created is mostly about the time
that I have spent over the years in primary school, and
the time I have had to bond with friends and teachers to
make it to this very point. There were lots of Ups and lots
of Downs, but everybody made it happen at the end. This
book is about the story of how I survived 7 years of
Primary school. Hopefully, this book ends up having
some morals and things that may also inspire you to do
something amazing in life and work hard to actually help
it come to life.
ENJOY!!!!
STARTING CIS
To begin with, I had started to be educated in CIS at the
age of 4 years old. I had started in reception at this time,
and I was very nervous because I was staying with
adults and children I had NEVER met before. But I soon
actually got over that because my teachers* were very
kind and they were determined to help me get over
my fear and anxiety. Everything went fine (and great)
and I successfully graduated from reception and year 1,
all the way to year 2.
*= My reception teacher was Ms Gibri. She was ever so kind. Thank you for being an awesome teacher! ;-D
FRIENDSHIP GROWS
Let’s start with year 2. I was starting to enjoy doing
more independent work now. But then came friendship
. There were different students I met in year 2, (Aviva
, Monjola, Molayo, Giselle, etc.) that I wanted to be
friends with. I was a little shy at the time so I didn’t
really interact much to the other students. A while had
passed and someone had already walked up to me and
asked if I wanted to play. (I can’t remember who the
person was, for I can’t work it out because I have TONS
of friends today.) I was delighted!! I immediately said
yes and joined in with their game. I made LOADS more
friends along the way and enjoyed my life in CIS so far.
GROWING AND EVOLVING
Through the years I started growing taller and smarter
and managed to get to year 3 and year 4. My favourite
teacher was Ms Ann Mans. (she was from South-Africa) She was my year 3 teacher and I
loved her because she was always there to help me learn
new things and always open for a great big hug. By the
way, in year three we started swapping classed for
numeracy and literacy. I ended up being in the highest
numeracy group in year 3 and 4. In year four, I met my
teacher Ms Owunkwe and my favourite assistant teacher;
Ms Toyin. she always knew how to put a smile on
someone’s face when there were down.
WORST CLASS IN YEAR FIVE?!
I had successfully graduated from year 4 and had
proceeded to year 5. My class actually ended up being
the worst behaved class in ALL of year 5. This is because
most of the misbehaved* children were placed in my
class. The classroom gradually became rowdy and My
teacher Mrs Rojuwa Animasaun had to scream and shout
almost every single day we came to school. It was a total
NIGHTMARE.
*= No offence…
APPLIANCE FOR LEADERSHIP
It was almost the end of the school year. My heart was
pounding with excitement for the freedom of the
Summer Holidays. But there was one more thing to do
before the holiday/graduating to year six….. THE
APPLIANCE. We had to write a letter that was for
applying for the junior school leadership team. I was
also excited, so I typically applied for THE HEAD GIRL.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t chosen for the head girl, but a
junior prefect! I was so excited and I still wear my badge
and serve CIS with loyalty and kindness.
FUN IN YEAR 6/PRODUCTION
Year 6 is where I currently am. We have had tons of fun
as we participated in activities, celebrations and more!
My teacher is Ms Taiwo and my assistant teacher is Ms
Umoru. I have a lot of fun in class and we are currently
rehearsing for our Key Stage 2 production. It’s going
quite smoothly, but some of us still need to work on our
lines. Together we can ace it; and, perhaps make it the
best production any of us have ever seen!!!
…THE TIME HAS COME!!!!!
It is finally the summer term and it is almost the end of
primary school! I am so excited because I am going to
move on to Secondary school after the Holiday. I really
hope that I am staying in CIS for year 7 because I am not
sure if I’m not sure if I am staying in BIS (British
International School). Anyway, I am very thankful for
having such excellent teachers, family, friends and
helpers in CIS and also at home. If I am leaving
CIS, however, I will NEVER forget my beautiful
experience
here at this school. I LOVE CHILDREN’S INTERNATIONAL
SCHOOL.
