Today we held our first ever Educational Activism Un-conference. We invited
un-conventional un-repentant
un-ordinary un-afraid and
un-encumbered people who are engaged in improving, morphing, and disrupting education at all levels to attend. And over one hundred did. We barely had popcorn for everyone.

I’m not one to point fingers, but we must acknowledge our co-organizers, Alon Amit (in orange)….
4
And Ofer Priell (here explaining how to make everyone’s toilet experience more meaningful…)
6
The famous poet/writer Shlomit Cohen-Assif read some of her beautiful poetry. She doesn’t like when people call her a ‘children’s author’. So I didn’t.
Children everywhere do love her poetry. And adults too.
8
New allegiances were formed.
10
Instantly, friendships came into being. Coincidences blossomed. Shachar, teaches at a high school right across from my house.
We will definitely do lunch.

This is my new partner in storytelling, Ofra Israeli who runs the G2G (generation to generation) program at the Disaposra Museum. We will make thousands of stories come true this year.
14
The un-conference board is where people suggest their own lecture topics. We had two boards that were white at 8:00. The first was for 15 minutes presentations.
16
The second board was for workshops of different kinds. Both boards filled up rather quickly.
18
Popcorn was had by all. I still have some if anyone is interested.
20
There were even Lionels and lionesses…
22
And spontaneous musical interludes of varying qualities.
24
25
A great and stimulating un-educational time was had by all.
Looking forward to our next one? Let us know!!
