Geometry of countries

Our schools name is JU OŠ “Pofalići”. It is small school in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. We have cca 560 pupils from 1st to 9th grade.

In this project we were supposed to see geometry in every day life. We enjoyed discovering geometric shapes on buildings…

After presenting ourselves and our school, our first task was to create logo and poster using web 2.0 tools. Students created logo using pixiz and poster using poster my wall. They did an excellent job.

Our logo was voted for the best one. On the next pages is poster made by our students, and the poster that we have voted for the best one.

We have also made project intro video.

In January we made presentation in emaze telling the story about geometry of flags.

Our students have also made cartoon in toondoo about Story of the Bosnia and Herzegovina flags.

In February, in order to tell the story about one historical structure, we decided to write about Sarajevo bridges so we created e-book about it.

As for Geometry of Decoration Arts in Architecture task, we have organized visit to National Museum in Sarajevo where we went to the Ethnological Department where students observed different polygons.

We have created presentation in Sway.

Students observed geometry in traditional clothing and they made a poster about it.

We have celebrated eTwinning Day on 9th of May.

Our students created presentation about Famous female mathematicians and made timeline about it.
