All About Me

I was born in Cape Town, South Africa on 13th May 1971. I have two brothers; I am the middle child. 

When I was 23 years old I moved to Israel. First, I lived in Tel Aviv and then in 1997 I moved to live in Kibbutz Afikim in the north of Israel. In 2003 my family and I moved to Kibbutz Netiv Halamed Heh. 

Living in a kibbutz is very different from living in a city. For example, there is a swimming pool, soccer field, tennis  court, basketball court and many lovely areas with trees and plants. So, it is surrounded by nature.

In addition, everyone knows each other. It’s nice when people help each other and celebrate Jewish festivals together. 

I love animals. I have a dog and a cat at the moment. My dog is a mixed breed. She is the sweetest dog in the entire world. For example, she wants me to hug her all the time. However, my cat is not so sweet. He loves me very much indeed but he makes too much noise!

My family is very important to me. We like to spend time together playing games, going on trips and watching TV shows and films.

First, one of the games that we love to play is The Settlers of Cattan. It’s a board game of 4-6 players and takes 1 1/2 hours to 2 and a half hours. The goal of the game is to earn 13 points by building villages and cities.

Second, we love to go to the beach for the day. At the beach we play beach bats and backgammon. In addition, we have a picnic with toasts and salad.

To sum up, family time is the greatest way to spend my time!
