Who are the Amish?
The Amish are a group of traditionalist Christian church fellowships with Swiss German Anabaptist origins.
Their idea that they are not use electronics, computers, electrical power or other technelogy.
Where do they live?
The Amish live in areas of North America.
Are they forced to live there?
That is very intresting, the people that live there, the Amish, are not forced to live there. At age 16-21 they go the the real world and they have the choise where to live, in the real world or in the Amish community.
Surprisingly, most of them choose to go back to the Amish community and live their life there.
Education:
The Amish’s children are not going to a normal school.
Unlike ordinary students, they study only 8 years in a school that belonged to the Amish. the teachers in the school are from the Amish too.
And that is because the Amish want the children not to expose themselves to the world and to stay in their (the Amish) own way of life.
Clothing
The Amish have special clothing, the men wear dark trousers with suspenders and soild-colored shirts. The women wear long dresses with long sleeves, aprons and bonnets.
The matter of modesty is very important to them, for this reason, the women do not wear jewelry.
All of the Amish look the same, and all of them have the same style.
Something more about the Amish
The Amish are not use technology, so they don’t use cars. Instead, they use horse-drawn carriages to move around.
They build their homes by wood by themselves!
They do not have churches for prayer.
In order to pray, they meet each other in someone’s barn.
