When Angels play, Love is in the game

Once upon a time there were two mischievous angels. They were running up and down the clouds, causing trouble in Paradise. So Saint Peter got angry with them and sent them down to Earth.

“You’ve turned everything upside down, can’t you stay quiet for a minute? I have a lot of work to do. Go down to Earth and have some fun. When you get tired, come back”.

So the little Angels flew down to Earth, in a place called Utopia. Utopia was very beautiful. There were rivers flowing and forests all across the land, and happy people lived there. But as they were flying low, by a beautiful lake, they saw a beautiful sad girl.

“I have an idea” said one of the Angels. “Can you that beautiful girl with the colourful clothes by the lake?” “Yes”, said the other Angel.

“Let’s go to her and tell her how beautiful she is. She might smile”. That’s what the Angels did, and one of them took a mirror in his hands, to prove it to her.

The beautiful girl looked in the mirror and said, “You think I am beautiful? I wish a wonderful man would fall in love with me. But I am sitting here alone.”

The Angels looked at each other and discussed. Then they had an idea. They sent a famous painter to the girl. The painter was very enthusiastic and painted many paintings.

A few weeks later, a rich nobleman came to the painter and saw the paintings. “What a beautiful girl!” he said.

The nobleman asked the painter who the girls on the paintings was. The painter responded very thoughtfully and she that she was just an ordinary girl.

The nobleman, named James, begged the painter to arrange a meeting with the girl as soon as possible. You see, he had fallen in love with her at the first sight.

The painter couldn’t tell him, so James started a quest in the entire country, looking for the girl in the painting.

Six months later, James was still looking for her and he couln’t find her anywhere. He didn’t even know her name.

On the other hand the Angels were still looking for a handsome man to love her. So they went to the painter again and asked him to draw another painting of her.

The painter was surprised and shocked by their request.

“There was a nobleman here a few months ago, who fell in love with her. Hasn’t he found her yet? Go find him and help him find her”.

So the Angels flew away to find James.

In the meanwhile, James was wandering with her picture in his hands. Suddenly, two Angels appeared in front of. “We know what you are looking for!” they said.

“You do?” “Where can I find her?” he asked. “She is at the lake”. James dashed to the lake where he found a girl with long blond hair, looking at the lake. At the sound of his voice, she turned around and he told her ” Are the woman in the picture?”. “What picture are you talking about?” asked the girl.

James explained to her, that he saw a painting in the painter’s shop and he took it with him to find her. Then she realised that she wasn’t the woman in the picture because she wasn’t wearing a necklace! She had two sisters, they were triplets, who looked exactly like her. One of them was by the apple tree in the forest. When James got there he realised that although she was wearing a necklace, she wasn’t the one in the picture. She was holding an apple in the right hand, not in the left! So where was the third one?

His desire to find the third sister was escalating. He wanted that specific girl. He asked the second girl where he could find her and she said “The only way to find her is to solve several difficult tasks, then go the heart of the forest and find the golden apple. Only a pure soul and kind heart will be able to reach out that special beauty”.

Hearing this the nobleman went back to the painter and asked him if he could meet again the two angels who first saw her. The painter said “Finding them isn’t easy. They never stay in one place. They are always wandering around looking for a new adventure”. James didn’t care He was determined to satisfy his desire. And he knew that the cherubs were the only way.

He went to the river and looked in the water with grief that kept growing in his heart. With tears falling down his cheeks, he begged for someone to show him a way, any solution. The Angels heard his prayers and appeared. “We heard your prayers, this is the voice of true love”. He looked at them in confusion “But how do you know it’s true love?”

The two Angels smiled and said ” You see, you had two girls who looked exactly like her, but you are still looking for the third one! This is the cry of your heart!”

He looked up with happiness, joy and hope. He could finally find his true love. From that day, they were never separated from each other again. The got married with a big wedding ceremony and the feast lasted for three days. The whole Utopia celebrated with them the glory of true love. They moved into a small town by the seaside, where they lived happily ever after. And the little Angels flew back to Paradise, tired but very very happy.
