A Boston reporter who lives with her friends Paige and Aaron with whom she also shares an office in the newspaper where they both work. Leah is investigating an epidemic of suicides at Boston University. She held out her hand when she could not get the job she needed and they invited her to share her apartment with her, suddenly a strange event happens, various circumstances make her think that Aaron tried to kill her, Leah tells Paige that Aaron is a dangerous man but She does not believe her and puts a restraining order on Leah.
Leah disappointed, and sad the only thing she wants is to leave Boston. coincidentally he meets an old friend, Emmy, who is going through a sentimental failure and proposes to Leah to start his life living together in another place where nobody knows them. Leah talks to her mother and sister Rebecca and although they do not agree with that decision, she can not do anything that
Western Pennsylvania, a beautiful town where Leah and Emmy start their new life in a comfortable house they rented in the name of Leah.
Leah, soon accommodates herself in a school as a teacher and Emmy told her, she already had gotten work like house cleaner and hotel employee both had different schedules for that reason it was rare that they coincided.
Suddenly Leah begins to receive text messages, emails, and strange calls that she attributes to a classmate of the school: the coach Davis Cobb person whom his students love and respect him, but who is addicted to drinking and with whom he did not like much read, because he bothered her with insinuations not pleasant for Leah
One day was found a woman brutally attacked, Bethany Jarvitz and police unfairly imprison Coach Davis Cobb because there is a witness who identifies him as the crime actor.
Leah is involved with Davis Cobb for calls found on his cell phone to Leah’s phone. rumors and accusations overwhelm Leah, when she notices something more worrying

Detective Kayle Donoval gives her the confidence to tell him about his fears about Emmy.
She informs him the disappearance of her friend she tells him that she is afraid that she is missing because Emmy would never leave without her clothes or her toothbrush if she thought to be away for several days.
When she realizes that she really does not know
anything about her friend, or the exact name. She did not know if her last name was GRAY or G-R-E-Y, her birthdate or if Emmy has a family and if she had, where it was. Leah does not have any photograph, nor is there any information about the license of the car, registration, or telephone, in a word, there is no proof of the existence of Emmy Gray, apart from the word of Leah Stevens.
On the other hand, Leah begins to receive anonymity telling her that Davis Cobb is not the attacker of
Bethany Jarviz and she communicates it to Detective Donoval
Leah suspected that one of her students was the one who sent the anonymous saying that Coach Cobb was not the attacker, and confirmed it when she saw Theo Burton suspiciously inside the classroom and in front of the computer turned on, so she set out to watch them very much. close to check who was and why the anonymous sent them to her and not the police.
Days later Leah checked who sent the anonymity because Izzi Marone another student confessed that Theo Burton was the eyewitness to the attack on Bethany Jarvitz but could not say anything because her life was in danger, so Leah had to keep quiet about that fact Detective Kayle Donoval
Soon love arises between Leah and Davis Donoval, but also the problems

in Boston Leah went to all the places where Emmy told her she had worked and the result was the same as in Pennsylvania: Nobody knew anything. there was no data of any woman with the name of Emmy Gray, but what Leah discovered left her perplexed: In a hotel if a woman worked with the description of Emmy for a whole year, but her name was not Emmy, but Leah Stevens! !
Emmy for years usurped false identities including Leah’s. Leah discovered too a complot between Bethany Jarvitz, Emmy and a man called James Finley.
reason why Leah decides to return to Pennsilvania and with the aid of a neighbor of Bethany Jarvitz who confuses Leah like relative of Bethany by its great similarity between both manages to enter its department while Bethany continues very serious in the hospital. There Leah found many answers.
Back in town, Kayle visits Leah and tells her that they found Emmy’s car in the lake and inside there was a dead man whom they identified with the name of James Finley.
Leah wants to tell him about her discoveries but before she decides to meet with the person who can help her understand everything. Theo Burton

Bethany, Emmy and James were complicit in the death of Bethany Jarvitz’s husband some years ago,
and planned to steal Leah’s identity thanks to their huge resemblance and pretended to blame her for all their felonies, but something went wrong between them and ended James Finley died at the hands of Bethany Jarvitz and Bethany attacked presumably by Emmy. the eyewitness was a student of Leah who sent him anonymous Theo Burton.
A few days later, Emmy or whatever her real name was, she showed up at the house in front of Leah and clarified many doubts that Leah had, and she could not believe the atrocities Emmy confessed, that did not seem to be her old friend from the university, she could not believe that for that woman she would have worried so much, and remembered some words from her old friend Pagie’s past about Emmy
“There is something wrong with that girl ” if Leah had paid attention to her friend’s words in that moment, she would never have been in the danger in which she was living with her.

I recommend this book to all people who like the mystery,
and understand it to me personally this book caught my attention,
although for my taste has some circumstances
that were not well explained or were inconclusive.

Leah of Biblical name, Jornalist, brave, hardworking, good friend, her father died when she was still very young and her mother and sister Rebecca survived. she creeps fears and a fault of which she has to escape from Boston, the city where she was born and where she was a star reporter in a newspaper. Start a new life in Western Pennsylvania next to the one that believes his best friend Emmy. She gets a job teaching at a local school, she is loyal to her students who teaches, but soon she was involved in a police affair, at the same time that she discovered that her dear friend and roommate Emmy, had disappeared.
Emmy Grey
Emmy Grey: You never know for sure if she’s good or bad, if she’s guilty or innocent, she’s all a lie, usurper, and thief, steals the identity of her good friend Leah. One day Emmy disappears and the same Leah doubts whether it existed or was part of his imagination.
