We sent informations and brochures to our parents about the “Children and Games in Adana” photo contest we decided together with our members of the PTA. We informed our parents about the importance of parents and children cooperation for the contest.

Beştaş, en az iki kişi ve beş küçük taş­la oynanan bir çocuk oyunu. Oyuncu, taş­ları yere attıktan sonra bir tanesini hava­ya fırlatıp o düşmeden yerdeki taşlardan birini ya da birkaçını toplamak ve tekrar taşı tutmak zorundadır. Havaya atılan taş yere düşerse, oyun sırası öteki oyuncu­ya geçer. Taşlar önce birer birer, sonra ikişer, üçer ve dörderli gruplar halinde toplanır. Bundan sonra yere baş parmak ve işaret parmağıyla köprü yapılıp öteki oyuncunun seçtiği taşa değdirmeden tüm taşlar bu köprüden geçirilir. Son aşama­da taşların tümü havaya atılıp elin tersiy­le tutulur. Bunlar da fırlatılıp bu kez avuç- la yakalanır. Avuçta ne kadar taş varsa o kadar sayı kazanılır. Kimi yörelerde biççili de denir.

Step 1: Players sit around a table or on the ground. The first player throws all five stones randomly on the ground/table. The trick is to scatter them just enough to enable easy reach later on. Step 2: Pick up one of them, position your hand over an existing stone. Whilst throwing a stone, pick up one stone and catch the stone in the air before it falls to the ground. Do this for each of the stones on the ground. Step 3: Repeat step 2 but pick up two stones at a time. Step 4: Repeat step 2 but pick up three stones first before picking up the final one. Step 5: Throw all five stones. Pick up four stones whilst one stone is in the air and catch it before it falls to the ground. Step 6: Whilst throwing one stone, place the four on the ground. Throw one stone up again and catch it whilst picking all four stones on the ground. Step 7: Throw all five stones on the ground. Pick two stones. Throw one in the air and exchange the other with one on the ground. (yes this is tough!) Do the same with the remaining stones on the ground. Step 8: Throw the two stones held at the end of Step 7. Pick up one stone and then catch the two falling stones separately in each hand. Do this until there is three stones in one hand and two in the other. Throw the two stones and catch it separately. Throw the remaining stone and catch it with the hand that has all the stones. Step 9: Throw all five stones on the ground. The opponent selects a stone to be thrown in the air. The player has to pick this stone without moving any others. The player throws the stone in the air and picks the remaining on the ground in one clean sweep. If at any point of time the player fails to complete this sequence of nine steps, he/she will have to forfeit his turn to his opponent. If his/her opponent’s fails to complete the sequence, the player will restart the step where he/she failed to complete.

Oyuncu Sayısı: İki gruba ayrılacak en az 6 kişi…(Çifterli gruplar halinde 8-10-12-14… kişiye kadar oynanabilir.)

Araç-Gereçler: Yedi adet kiremit veya mermer parçası… Aslında üst üste duran yedi adet taş parçası bulun yeter… Yedi kuleye atış yapmak için bir de topa ihtiyacımız var…

Yakantop oyunu sayıları eşit iki grup ile oynanır (en az dört kişi iki kişi bir gruba iki kişi de bir gruba). Sonra ikiye bölünen bir uzunluğu kapsayan iki çizgi çizilir bu çizgiler eşit aralıkta olmak üzere ortadan bir çizgi ile ayrılır. Oyun sahası çizildi… Sıra oynamakta. İlk önce yazı tura atılarak topun hangi gruptan başlayacağı seçilir. Sonra herkes istediği sahaya geçer (tabi herkes kendi grubunun sahasına geçer). Her grubun bir kalecisi olur. Kaleciler orta çizginin ayırdığı iki çizgiden birine geçer ama grubunu vurmamak için grubunun olmadığı tarafa geçer. Bu oyunda en önemlisi kimse can veremez vurulan kaleye geçer topu havadan kapan can tutmuş olmaz yere değdikten sonra top size değerse vurulmuş sayılmazsınız vurulduğunuzda herhangi bir kişi yere değmeden o topu kaparsa vurulmuş olmazsınız ve kaleciniz topu size yollarken topu tuttuktan sonra yere düşürmüş veya bir yerinize değip topun yere düşmesi sizin oyundan çıkmanızı sağlamaz çünkü kendi kaleciniz.

Dodge ball game is played with at least 4 people.

Hide-and-seek or hide-and-go-seek is a variant of the game tag, in which a number of players conceal themselves in the environment, to be found by one or more seekers.

This game is also known as Hide and tig, Hidy and Hide and go seek.
One person is IT and they are the seeker, or person who will look for the other players.
The person who is IT stands at the base (home). They cover their eyes or turn around.
They count to an agreed number, or recite a tune or particular words, while the rest of the players hide.
When the counting or rhyme is finished, IT says “Ready or not, here I come” or “Coming, ready or not” and runs to find everyone.
The people who are hidden remain hiding until they are found and the last one to be found is the winner.
What you need
An open space with places to hide or players to be unseen
An agreed spot for the base or home

Numerous variants of the game can be found around the world. In some variations players may move to other hiding spots while the seeker, generally known as “it”, is not looking, and those who can remain hidden the longest are considered to be the best players.

Çizgi oyunu-Sek Sek Nasıl Oynanır?

1) 1 kişi tebeşirle sek sek çizgisini çizer.Kare veya daire şeklinde çizilen çizgiler 1’den 8’e kadar numaralandırılırdı.
2)İlk oyuncu taşını bir numaralı kutunun içine atar.Genellikle mermer taş kullanılırdı.Taşın olduğu kutunun üzerinden atlayarak diğer kutulara sekerek gider.Tek kutu olanlara tek ayakla ,çift kutu olanlara iki atağımızla basarız.
3) 8 numaralı kutuya gelince geri döner ve 2 numaralı kutuya gelince tek ayağının üzerindeyken 1 numaralı kutudaki taşı alır ve bu kutunun üzerinden atlayarak çizginin dışına çıkar.
4)Şimdi sıra 2 numaralı kutuya gelmiştir.Taşı 2 numaralı kutuya atar ve aynı şekilde sekerek gider ve dönüşte 2 numaradan taşı alır ve üzerinden atlayarak çizgiden çıkar.
5)Bu şekilde 8 e kadar devam eder.Attıgı taş bir çizginin üzerine gelirse ,çizgiye basarsa ya da iki ayağı birsen yere deyerse oyuncu yanar ve sıra diğer oyuncuya geçer.Tekrar sırası gelince kaldığı yerden devam eder.

Traditional Children’s Games: Hopscotch

How to Play Hopscotch
There can be any number of players, and a stone is the only object you need to play it. If you are the first player, you draw a figure on the floor with a piece of chalk.
Then you throw the stone inside square one. After that, you have to hop into each square, starting with square 1 and ending in square eight.
If there are two squares together, you jump landing with one foot in each square; but if there is only one square, you must hop on one foot.
When you reach squares 7 and 8, you have to turn back jumping again until square 1. Then you continue playing the next level.
This time you begin by throwing the stone into square number 2. In the next level, you throw it into square number 3. You continue until level 8.
The first player who does all the levels is the winner. The most important thing is that the player has to skip the square where the stone is.
Special Rules of the Game
The game has some rules. If an of the following things happen, the player has to stop and another player takes a turn.
