There was a boy, his name was Dan.

Dan lived in a very poor city.

His mother was a dishwasher.

2

Dan didn’t go to school, he helped his mother at work every day from 6 AM to 8 PM.

Every day at his mother’s work dan looked out the window, and across the street there was a very big park,

where childern played together. Dan never played with them.

3

One day, it was very early in the morning, and he asked his mother if he can go to the park.

His mother allowed him and he was so happy, so he ran and jumped and had fun.

He saw a kid sitting on the bench. He had clean new clothes and new snickers.

Dan thought how it will be like to be him.

4

The next day, on the way to his mother’s work, he saw this kid again sitting there alone.

Dan thought how it will be to like be in his place.

5

The day after, Dan woke up and didn’t understand where is he.

He woke up in a large room on a big bed, and there were big windows and a huge wardrobe closet.

Into the room stepped a butler and asked: “Are you ready to start you day, sir?”.

Dan didn’t understand what was going on.

6

Dan wanted to stand on his feet, but he realised he couldn’t.

The butler dressed up dan and helpd him to sit in his wheelchair.

Dan ate his brakfast, and it was so tasty and diffrent from what he knew. There were cereal and jam there, with diffrent kinds of bread, fruits and even chocolate.

Suddenly, into the room stepped a lady and asked: “How do you feel today, son?”

Dan realised he is not in his reality any more.

After the brekfast with the lady that he called mom, the butller took him to the park and had him sitted on the bench, the same bench that Dan saw the rich boy sitting on yesterday.

7

Now Dan understood his wish came true. He is the rich boy from the park.

All day long Dan sat there with clean new clothes and new shoes, and he was happy that he wasn’t poor anymore.

The next day he sat there again, and the day after that.

8

After a week Dan become very sad.

He realised he was sitting alone without any option to walk or move his legs.

9

Dan learnd his lesson. It is better to be happy with what you have and not take envy in others, for you do not always know the background and daily struggles.
