Dear Diary, I’m Annelies Marie Frank but everybody calls me Anne. I’m very happy to have you!

Here is some information about me:

I was born on 12 June 1929, in Frankfurt- Germany. I’m German! So I also speak Dutch. I am also a Jew, and for some weird reason Germans hate me…

My father is named Otto Frank and my mother is named Edith Hollander. I have a lovely sister named Margot.

I have shown you to my father a few days ago. you are an autograph book but I will use you as a diary.

I wish Germans would like us Jews… we are going to hide from them because they hate us Jews and we might get killed!

But I can be a happy because today is my birthday! I’m very happy!!!
