A different book …..

The reasons why the picture books i choose are good:

The storybook has a simple story line.

The illustrations, can be understood without the text.

When parents read picture books with young children, they show children the process of reading by demonstrating how to hold a book, turn the pages, pause to look at pictures, follow the words across the page, and guess what is going to happen next. This provides the needed experience with books before children can read on their own. In the first book the pages are folded in a creative way and the child can guess in a easier way what’s going to happen next and practice turning pages in a fun way.

Children develop intellectually by gaining information, thinking creatively, using their imagination, and asking questions. The first book is very creative because the animals are wearing clothes. The second book is also creative because people are talking with animals.

They develop artistically by learning to appreciate color, shapes, and design. This is true for both of the books. There are very colorful, varied and have a lot of shape.
