Every morning when Rosie-Poly-Oly wakes up, she walks outside

into the garden and smells the fresh air. With dew running down the

spring flowers, Rosie-Poly-Oly told herself, “Today will be a GREAT day!”

and she went on a walk through the garden.

Over the rocks and through the grass, Rosie-Poly-Oly smell something burning.

Off in the distance she could see, it was another little bug trying to bake a pie.

The little bug burnt the pie and started to get tears in their eyes.
So Rosie-Poly-Oly walked up and said, “Little bug little bug, don’t you cry.

Rosie-Poly-Oly’s here to help bake that pie!”

She mixed and baked! Mixed and baked! Sooner than soon a pie was made

and the little bug cried no more; so off went Rosie-Poly-Oly with

a smile on her face.

Over the rocks and through the grass, Rosie-Poly-Oly heard a

big CRASH! Off in the distance she could see, it was another little

bug trying to ride a bike.

The little bug had no idea how to ride a bike and crashed into a mushroom.

Little bug stared to cry, so Rosie-Poly-Oly came around and said,

“Little bug little bug, don’t you cry. Rosie-Poly-Oly’s here

to show you how to ride!”

She pushed and pedaled! Pushed and pedaled! Quicker

than quick the little bug was on the bike riding all

through the garden. So off went Rosie-Poly-Oly

with a smile on her face.

Over the rocks and through the grass, Rosie-Poly-Oly saw

another little bug crying. The little bug said she was being bullied

by two other big bugs.

The little bug had no idea how to defend herself and

it made her cry. So Rosie-Poly-Oly came around and

said, “Little bug little bug, don’t you worry.

Rosie-Poly-Oly’s here to make the

big bullies scurry.”

She ducked and rolled! Ducked and rolled! Faster

than fast the two bullies left and never returned

to pick on the little bug, so off went Rosie-Poly-Oly

with a smile on her face.

Over the rocks and through the grass, Rosie-Poly-Oly

could hear cheering off in the distance. So she walked

closer to see what she could see.

It was all the little bugs she had helped that day,

throwing a party to say ‘thank you’ for what

Rosie-Poly-Oly did for them. Rosie-Poly-Oly

gave all the little bugs a great big hug! Than she

walked off and went home.

Two of the little bugs watched as

Rosie-Poly-Oly walked home and said

to one another, “Little bug little bug, what

do you see?”

“I see a friend, helping you and helping me.”
