summary:

Jim a young boy who watches over his parent’s inn “Admiral Benbow”. His father becomes ill and Dr.Livesey comes from village to take care of him.

• A strange old sailor called Billy Bones rents a room at the inn. Billy asked Jim to worn him whenever he sees a one-legged man.

One day, Billy (the captain) is visited by a blind beggar called ‘Blind Pew’ who gives him the ‘black spot’ which is the mark of imminent death among pirate crews. After Blind Pew leaves, Billy gets a stroke out of fear and dies.

• Just before Blind Pew and his crew burst in the inn, Jim and his mother open the captin’s sea chest and took the money that Billy owned them. Jim took the papers too.

• Jim shows the papers to Dr.Livesey and his friend Squire, the richest man in the village. They decide to set sail to uncover the treasure.

• The Squire rents a ship “ Hispaniola” and hires Smollet as the captain of the ship. Long John Silver as the ships cook. And Silver himself hires a group of men to head the voyage. Jim becomes the cabin boy.

• Long John Silver plans a mutiny with most of the ship crew. Jim realizes that Long John Silver and most of the crew are actually pirates and were once members of Captain Flint’s crew. Flint is an evil pirate who stole money and hid it on the island.

• Jim warns the Doctor, the Squire and the Captain about the crew’s evil plans. The Captain sends most of the pirates ashore and Jim decides to go ashore with them. Once there, he hides in the jungle.

• There Jim meets an abandoned man called Ben Gunn. Ben had dug up Flint’s treasure long ago.

• Squire and the doctor meet Long John Silver in the fort. There they fight and some men die and others get injured.

• Dr. Livesey goes out to find Ben Gunn and asks for his help. Then Dr.Livesey made a deal with Silver. In exchange for some food, we would give up the fort and the map.

• The pirates reach the spot where the treasure is supposed to be hidden. But, they find an empty hole. They get furious and threaten to kill Jim , then Silver passes him a pistol. Jim shoots, three men ran away and two fall into the hole. Jim and Silver stand still when the other men, the doctor, the Squire and Ben Gunn came running out of the woods.

• The next morning they load Flint’s treasure on the ship. Long John Silver is a prisoner now. They decided to take Silver to stand trial. In their way home, they stop to buy some food from a nearby village. When they come back , they find that Silver had run away.
