Boeuf salad prepared at all dinners at Christmas, Easter and other events. Hardly is a festive meal of Romanians.
Boeuf salad name comes from the French word “boeuf” meaning “beef”.
Romanians have several recipes to prepare salad boeuf: beef, chicken or even without meat.
ingredients
– 1 kg potatoes
– 1 chicken breast
– 300 g carrots
– 200 g celery
– 400 g pickled cucumbers
– 499 g pickled peppers
– 100 g cooked peas (optional)
– 1 tablespoon mustard
– salt pepper
– mayonnaise
Method of preparation
Boil the potatoes in shell, then leave to cool. Peel and chop finely, diced.
Boil peas separately, to remain whole.
Boil and other vegetables with the meat is flavourful. Drain the water and finely chop.
Put whole peas.
Place all in a large bowl. Add mustard and mayonnaise (to taste).
Arrange on platter. Garnish as desired.
