One morning, Bethany, Jamie and James are going to nursery just in the morning. They are already here with their mums. “See you at 12pm, three of you!” they said, and Bethany, Jamie and James ran to Miss Michaelson, the nursery teacher.

2

“How are you, Bethany, Jamie and James?” she asked. “We are all nervous to see you, but James gets a lot nervous every day.” said Jamie. “So, you can go in all sorts! It’s your fun!” said Miss Michaelson.

3

Bethany went to play with the other nursery children, Jamie is doing painting fun with the other nursery children and James is reading a book. “I love to paint because it’s my favourite hobby!” said Jamie. “I love playing with the blocks!” said Bethany.

4

A boy called Luke saw James. “Are you alright, James?” he asked. “I am, but I am reading a book all by myself.” said James. “Well, I am going to read a book with you!” said Luke. James did not want to play with the other children expect Bethany and Jamie.

5

“Is there a sensory room at the nursery, Miss Michaelson?” asked Jamie. “Yes, it is.” said Miss Michaelson. “Can I go to the sensory room, Miss Michaelson?” asked Bethany. “Yes, you may. Jamie?” asked Miss Michaelson.

6

“Yes, please.” said Jamie, and Miss Michaelson asked the other nursery children, and Bethany and Jamie waited. “Is Luke coming?” asked Bethany. “I don’t know.” said Jamie. “And I can hear Miss Michaelson asking the other children.”

7

Bethany, Jamie, James, Luke and two other girls named Lucy and Louise went to the sensory room at the nursery. “I love the sensory room.” said James. “I love it too, because it isn’t so relaxing and we may have fun.” said Jamie.

8

Louise found a toy ball. “That’s so dirty.” she said. “What the…” said Lucy. “Could you watch your good language?” asked Louise. “Yes, I can.” said Lucy, and James and Jamie went to the bubble tube at the sensory room.

9

“Could it change colours?” asked James. “Yes, so you have to press all of the coloured buttons.” said Jamie. Luke asked for the toilet. “Ask Miss Michaelson!” shouted Jamie crossly to Luke.

10

All of Bethany, Jamie, James, Luke, Lucy and Louise all went back to the nursery room. “So, we are getting tired of going to the sensory room, and that was good relaxation for Jamie.” said Miss Michaelson.

11

It’s snack time and Bethany, Jamie, James, Luke, Lucy, Louise and four of the other children had fruit and biscuits, expect they had blackcurrant and orange squash. “I don’t like apples and oranges.” said a girl named Chloe. “You don’t have to have the fruit, but you can eat your biscuit.” said Miss Michaelson.

12

It’s time to go home and all of the nursery children are collected by their parents. “Goodbye, Jamie and James. See you tomorrow.” said Bethany, and she was collected by her mum. They had a great time at the nursery and Jamie and James enjoyed relaxing at the bubble tube side of the sensory room and tomorrow, the nursery children will have more fun all day.
