THE MAGIC BOY by Einat Katzir and Keren Shneorson ז6

Once upon a time in a far away land, named the Enchanted Forest, lived a little boy who’s name was Arthur. Arthur was a very special boy. He was 12 years old, he had short brown hair and big green sparkling eyes. He was smart and brave and if Arthur loved someone very hard he would go to the end of the world for him. But what made him more special than everyone else is the fact that he believed in magic when everybody didn’t believe. There was no magic in this world because no one believed.

One day Arthur decided he wants to bring back the magic to this world so he went on a journey to find how to bring back the magic. The Enchanted Forest was a very big land and there were many places inside it, one of them was called The dark forest. Arthur heard from his friends that on the edge of the dark forest lived the last person that still believed in magic. Arthur decided to go and meet him. Arthur thought that it will be much better if he won’t tell anyone where is he going, so he went alone. When Arthur arrived to the man’s house he was scared. After a few minutes the door opened and an old man said: “you can come in I was expecting you to come”.

Arthur was a little bit nervous but he decided to get into the house. The old man offered him a cup of tea and said: “I can see you have a lot of questions”. Arthur answered: “I know there was magic in this world and I want to bring it back”.

The old man said: “there is a way to bring the magic back to this world” he gave him something and said: “this is a magic bean, it will take you to another kingdom there you will meet a king named James”. Arthur said: “thank you” and went out of the man’s house. Arthur threw the bean to the ground and it opened a portal.

Arthur arrived to king James’s castle and asked to talk with the king. A few guards took him to the king’s room. Arthur said: “sorry for the interruption your majesty but an old man sent me to you and he said that you can help me, I’m trying to bring the magic back to my world. The king said: “I can help you but first I need you to do something for me”. “what” Arthur asked. the king answered him: “my daughter is trapped in a very high tower so I need you to rescue her”. Arthur said: “just a tower? that’s going to be easy” but then James said: “the tower is not what you need to be afraid of, there is a very big and dangerous dragon that protects the tower, my knights will take you to the tower but they won’t rescue my daughter, you will”.

When Arthur and the knights arrived to the tower Arthur started to think that maybe it was better if he didn’t go to this journey, but then he heard the princess screaming: “help! please someone help me!!” and realized he must save her. So he started to get closer and closer to the tower, but then one of the knights said: “wait kid, take my sword, it will help you to defeat the dragon” “thanks” Arthur said, and he started to walk to the tower.

when Arthur started to climb on the tower he heard something, it was the dragon. The dragon was very very scary, it was very big, it had two heads and small red eyes, it was green and it had two big wings. Arthur thought he is going to die but then he recalled he had the knight’s sword. Quickly Arthur took the sword and cut one of the dragon’s heads.

After Arthur killed the dragon, he continued to climb to the king’s daughter. After Arthur finally arrived to the princess’s room, he saw her. she was very beautiful, she had long blond hair and big blue eyes, she was tall and thin and she had a cute little smile. They fell in love with each other immediately. The princess said: “thank you, I’m Lia, what’s your name?” Arthur answered her: “I’m Arthur”. Lia smiled at him and kissed him, but then something happened, Arthur wasn’t sure what it was but then he realized that true love kiss is what he needed to bring back the magic to the Enchanted forest. He finally understood that the old man knew that’s what’s going to happen.

Lia and Arthur came back to the king’s castle, they walked in and the king said: “Arthur, how can I pay you for bringing my daughter back” and Lia said: “let me go back with him to his land, to the Enchanted forest. Now when the magic there is back everything will be just fine”  “okay” said James “I will let you go with Arthur” “thanks father!” said Lia, and they started the journey back to the Enchanted forest.

When Arthur and Lia arrived to the Enchanted forest, everything was so different, the people looked happier, the sky looked bluer. Two years after they came back, Arthur and Lia got married. And they lived happily ever after.
