A Yeti in Town

Summary

A Yeti in Town is a fantasy about a magical creature called a Yeti who visits a family in London.

Tim and Emma’s father works in the Himalayas as an explorer. One day he calls them and tells them that he sends them presents in a box. After he puts the presents in the box a Yeti sees it and decides to jump in because the box looks comfortable. When the box arrives to London the kids are very happy. They open the box and there they see a surprise- a Yeti jumps out. The kids are happy to see him.

He tells them about himself and starts to explore the house. The kids call their dad and tell him about the Yeti. Dad tells them he belongs in the Himalayas. Meanwhile, they have adventures together.

The kids take the Yeti on a tour around London. 

The kids take the Yeti to the airport on the way back to the Himalayas. But the Yeti runs away.

Later a reporter meets him and decides to ask people what they think the Yeti should do: stay in London or go back to the Himalayas. The people decide he should go back home to the Himalayas. The kids and their mom take the Yeti back to the Himalayas. When they reach the Himalayas the Yeti meets his parents and the kids meet their dad. Everyone is so happy.

Characters

Yeti – It is a magical creature  from the Himalayas.It is small dark , furry and  shy. It love adventures. 

Dad –He is an explorer and he works in the Himalayas. He is a good father and he sends many gifts to his children. He loves to explore new places.

Tim –He is a funny and smart kid. He loves animals and he is happy to meet Yeti.

Emma –She is a nice, funny and smart girl.She loves adventures.

Mom –She has a husband and two children.

She is a very good mother and she likes to play with her kids.

The T.V. reporter –She is a curious woman. When she meets the Yeti she writes an article about him.

Also, she is very caring and she asks people where they think Yeti should stay.

A Book Review

“A Yeti in Town” is a great fantasy by Richard Brown. The story is about a magical creature from the Himalayas called a Yeti who meets a family in London. The story tells about their adventures and how the Yeti finally goes back home to the Himalayas.

We liked the book especially because of the funny character of the Yeti.

Also, we liked to read about Tim and Emma’s adventures together with the Yeti.

The story is both funny and interesting.

We recommend this book for anyone who has a sense of humor and likes to read adventure stories.
