Safe Internet

The results of the survey we conducted with our project students on safe internet use are included.

49 students answered the questionnaire. Of these students, 73.5% are girls and 26.5% are boys. The age range is between 51% and 16/17. 36.7% are 15/16 years old. Students participating in the project are Grade 11 with 53% and Grade 10 with 40%.

81% of our students stated that the password they use for internet transactions is strong. While 79.6% said they knew what to do for a strong password, 18.4% said no.

While 69.4% of our students stated that they do not share their passwords with their friends, 28.6% stated that they sometimes do.

To the question about how often they share their personal information on the Internet, 69.4% never answered, 30.6% sometimes.

To the question of making friends on the Internet, 73.5% answered sometimes, 18.4% never, 8.2% always.

Do you think that the information close to your feelings and thoughts on the internet is absolutely correct? For the 9th question on the form, 49% answered sometimes and 49% answered no.

While 42.9% of our students were not at all interested in the advertisements they encountered on the internet, 51% of them stated that they were occasionally interested.

On safe internet use, 46.9% of the students received training, 30.6% did not receive any training, and 22.4% received very little training.

44.9% of the students who answered the questionnaire spend 2.5-4 hours on the Internet, 36.7% spend 4.5 hours or more on the Internet, 18.4% spend 1.5-2 hours on the Internet.

The area they are most interested in on the internet is social media with 12.2%. But social media is more because there are students who write in other fields along with social media. Watching videos, playing games, doing research, education and shopping, tik tok, news, music, YouTube, fashion etc. responses were included as 2% and 1%.
