Following the discovery of the suicide letter Larry had left behind.

KATE: “I must share with you something… I have decided to let you know about the tragic fate of Larry.

JOE: (immediately gets up) WHAT? What have you just said?

(JOE read Larry’s suicide letter, confronts his wife and then faints)

KATE: Listen to me! Joe!!!

(JOE wakes up in hospital, surrounded by doctors and by KATE)

KATE: We will eventually get through this together. I’ll take care of everything. I’ll make it right for the poor victims. Don’t you worry! I promise you! I strongly believe this is Larry’s will!

JOE: No! I won’t! That’s it, I’m closing the firm. NO MORE! What Have done to my life??? All this time, all these lies… For what? I’ll give all I have to the families of these victims, yet I know it will never cover or compensate for their loses.

(JOE hands himself into the police and is sent to jail for the rest of his life)
