Tozo is our faithful and loveable old dog.
Although he is fat, lazy and digs lots of annoying holes everywhere, we still love him. In this photo he is guarding one of our new born lambs.
We have lots of very pretty lambs born on our farm of various different colors. We have many twins and sometime triplets
Here are just one set of triplets born to Kiyomi’s favourite sheep called Panda. We had to help Panda give birth to these as they were stuck coming out and they all came out backwards. Kiyomi raised the white one with the black face on a bottle and called it Mia. Now Mia is a mother and has just given birth to twins that look just like she does. One is a boy and one is a girl
This is one of my favourite photos of Kiyomi with a little baby lamb called Bambi. Unfortunately Bambi was sick and did not grow up to be a big lamb. Sometimes that can happen with animals and it is a bit sad.
This is Kiyomi, Zeni and their Mummy giving the new lamb a big cuddle and welcoming him into the farm family. They love giving all the new babies a cuddle.
Sometimes we have to protect the lambs from the big bad Foxes that try and eat little lambs at night time. Here is one big bad fox that won’t be eating any more little lambs.
To help protect our baby lambs we get help from our Male alpaca Spirit. He is very protective of the baby lambs and chases all the foxes away. They are frightened of him but sometimes they sneak past him when he is sleeping. Spirit is very friendly to people and often comes up for a pat or a cuddle.
These are our two Rams Harry and Boneparte.
Harry is a Dorper with a white body and black head. He is good at escaping so we called him Harry Houdini. Boneparte is a minature Harlequin Ram and brown white and black. Both rams all shed their wool each season so you never have to shear or crutch them.
This is Zeni and Nanna with one of our baby alpacas that is called Squirt. He is called Squirt because he is so small and has never grown much. Soon a shearer will come and cut all his wool off. Nanna is excited about this because then she will have more black wool to use to make us all lovely clothes and hats with.
Our lambs are all hungry little babies. They are always trying to sneek a litttle drink of milk from their mummies. They grow up very fast and become big lambs.
This is one of our cows that is very attractive. Her mother was a black and white belted Galloway and her father was an apricot Limousin bull. She has just had a baby calf herself.
Serena our white alpaca has just had a baby cira. The baby’s name is Astra and she will grow up to be a big friendly alpaca just like her mother. Look at her long legs. This is why they can run so fast and chase foxes.
Sometimes Max comes out to the farm. He loves to ride Dasher the Welsh Pony. The first time he was really scared but now he is really brave. Once he rode an alpaca whilst his poppy was holding onto him. Sometimes he just likes to cook marshmellows over an open fire with his cousins.
Max is being very brave when he rides Dasher. Max loves coming to the farm and spending time with all of the animals. His favourite animal though is Laski the dog. She is very friendly and loves to chase cats.
Baby Mael loves to spend time with Tozo and the baby lambs. Tozo is very gentle and even when Mael pulls his tail Tozo does not get angry with him. We are lucky to have such a good natured and friendly dog.
