One of the most important ceremonies of the Kingdom is the united one of the Royal Maundy which has very ancient origins and dates back to the time of Edward I. Questa cerimonia si tiene il giovedì santo presso l’abbazia di Westminster ed è presieduta dalla regina Elisabetta, che in questa giornata si dedica ad attività di carità.

La manifestazione è caratterizzata dalla distribuzione dei Maundy Money, delle monete coniate appositamente per l’evento, che vengono distribuite ai cittadini che si sono distinti per aver svolto attività utili per la comunità. Il numero delle monete regalate è pari agli anni della regina.

Un altro evento folkloristico tipico del Regno Unito e di quasi tutti i paesi anglofoni è il Morris Dancing, un ballo popolare di origine medievale molto diffuso nel periodo di Pasqua. Questo ballo impone uno stile di abbigliamento caratterizzato dall’uso di:
