The Thing

Last week, I was babysitting my sister Emily at the park with my friend Sally. We love going to the park. In the park there are many swings and bushes to play with or on. Emily’s favorite thing to do at the park is to play hide and seek.

Emily was playing hide and seek with another friend, and she hid in the bushes. Then she heard someone crying, it was a “thing”! This “thing” was low and was wearing a yellow, cute dress and had a pink bow. Emily picked her up and said” don’t worry! I’ll take you home and introduce you to the family!” So, Emily came to me and told me everything.

In the afternoon, I called a family meeting, and this is what I told my parents “Father, mother, today in the park Emily found a thing, The “thing” was promised to be introduced to our family so here she is.” The “thing” scuttled into the room, and I picked her up to my parents. My parents were amazed to see such a cute pretty “thing”, so they said “wow! She’s so pretty! She is welcome to stay with us whenever she wants!”

For the rest of my family’s days the “thing” stayed. Now the “thing” always comes to the park with Emily and even makes new friends. But usually, she stays at my house and reads about welcoming and other “things” like her.
