The Solar System

In this eBook, we will cover the planets in the Solar System. The intended grade for this book is 5th grade.

Student Learning Outcomes:

1. Students will identify five out of the eight planets.
2. Students will demonstrate their understanding of one planet through research.

There are eight planets in our solar system! They are Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and, Neptune. They all revolve around the Sun in the center of the solar system.

1. What does the planets revolve around?
2. What planet do we live one?
3. What planet is the furthest from the sun?

Homework Assignment:

1. Pick one planet that you found really cool and want to learn more about.
2. Research that planet and find out how big it is and three cool facts to share in class tomorrow.
