Ahhh cold no no no. Breath stay calm as I slipped in ice cold blood freezing water.

My legs froze, they felt like they were gonna break off on the daggers of ice I was trying to hold on. Maybe I should be more careful next time hoping I do escape this.

As I say that to myself My blood chills, the colour runs from my face to the bottom of my fins as I see the worst thing for a seal like me. Seconds before something absolutely terrible would have happened I got pulled out of the water. I suddenly feel this overwhelming surge of relief and happiness. I look up and feel a little scared and shy not knowing who this seal is. Suddenly the seal says”Hi, Im aloe and well… Might come as a surprise but Im your mother”

I gasp in terror and excitement. The first thing that comes to my mind is what’s my name so I ask her” Uhhm mum whats my name? Am I a boy? Who is my dad?”

I stop because I realize I  might’ve overwhelmed her with

questions. She answers with” Uhhmm your name is Albert you are a boy and well your dad died to a killer whale”.

I felt sad, the happiness and relief drained from I wanted to jump back in the water and join him. But I controlled myself. A few days had passed. I knew all about being a seal. I learned quickly I was big and strong and brave but I tried to be nice. I swore to myself thinking of what my mother said. I promised I would find my father and never look back until my journeys over.

Chapter 2:

I set out to tell my mother fins quivering my breath slowing. She didn’t take it so well. she took it so bad she passed out. I didnt wanna be there so I ran. I slipped a little but I didn’t look back. The next day I made sure I was ready and set out on my quest or adventure my, journey beyond. I dived in the water Missing a small glacier by inches. I saw fish passing by I swam past penguins getting hungry cause you know I eat them. I thought that if my dad was like me he would want to explore. In my life in the village they talked of warmer waters I think it was the indian ocean they said it was north from us. I went past islands until I got hungry. I stopped at an island with penguins. I tried to stay quiet. I was brave and could be mean so I wasn’t afraid to go for a baby. There it was hopeless I launched when it was the right time. And there it was in my mouth warm soft I coughed up the feathers and chewed of the beak and toenails I was full and happy I

started swimming again. Suddenly I felt a change in the temperature and I realized I was in the indian ocean. Happiness burst through me. I saw an Island I wasn’t used to this heat. I passed out. A few hours might have passed. When I woke up I was in the shade now, animals I’ve never seen towering over me. I got overwhelmed and jumped up growling with my big voice. They backed away fear in their face I calmed down as soon as I say a female seal. She said” Its ok we are friends”  I asked” of who I don’t know you?” I saw lots of seals coming out of the bush they explained they had been living here for a while with my father but one day he went out and disappeared they haven’t heard of him since. I desperately asked what his name is where he went. They told me his name was Peter they didn’t know where he went he said he was visiting old friends. He was always secretive of his past even though we knew him for years. I said I was trying to find him. They were proud and said I should go now.

They gave me courage, strength and hope, the gifts I needed the most. I set out again for my next journey. Not knowing which way I should go. But I went saying I would find a way hoping I wouldn’t lose hope.

Chapter 3:

I left with a sad feeling. I wanted to stay there because it made me feel close to my father. But I knew that if I wanted to see him I would have to try at least. So I swam away looking at it one more time from a distance. I thought I should go to another island for a snack. I found a good place with lots of fish by the shore and penguins. I found the biggest fish I could find, it was pretty defenseless just like that young penguin Johny.  After I was done I left and thought of maybe going to the place that is most north to us. I think it was called Greenland?  I swam for miles with terror as I saw chuncks of clear or bright yellow things that looked like weird icebergs. I stopped and thought of what I could call it. I came up with plastic. It looked a little dangerous so I didn’t come too close. I swam on seeing more and more dodging pieces by inches. Greenland was beautiful. There was lots of ice I had been missing that.
