Walter the Water Molecule

Hello! My name is Walter the water molecule! I am made of three atoms: two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom. I have been stuck in this thing called an ocean for my whole life. I have made some friends in my lifetime, but there is this one friend, her name is Wendy. But lately I have been sad. Wendy has evaporated and I haven’t seen her since. I hope to find her some day and evaporate as well.

It has now been a couple Months since Wendy has evaporated. I have made some friends, but I have yet to meet someone as perfect as Wendy. Woah, Whoah, Whoaaahh! All of a sudden I feel myself start floating! I- I think I’m evaporating! This is the coolest thing ever! After a good minute I found myself to be a part of a cloud! I started looking everywhere for Wendy, but she is nowhere to be found.

Ever since I have been in this cloud, I have seen so many more water molecules (Like me) also become a part of the same cloud as I! They have all come from different places like plants, the ground, lakes, rivers, and even animals breathe! After a weeks of being in this cloud, I suddenly feel myself start to fall and become very cold. I think Gravity was pulling me down to earth because the cloud got too heavy with water molecules, including me! I realized I was a snowflake! After about a minute of falling I finally landed on this rocky surface, there were trillions of frozen water molecules floating and landing right next to me! I think I am on what’s called a glacier!

After some time, The slide ended. I flowed into a lake! There were huge boats, Jet skis and a million other objects I had never seen before. I was chilling in the lake for about 2 years. I got used to how things worked around here. I also made so many friends, but I still thought about my best friend Wendy everyday.

Today was the best day of my life. I was moved to the area where the river pours into the lake somehow. All of the sudden I hear my name being called from a distance, I turn around and guess who it was! Of course, Wendy. Wendy told me all about her adventure and I shared mine with her. After that Wendy and I never separated and we lived happily ever after.
