In the Advanced Biological Wastewater Treatment Plant built by Samsun Metropolitan Municipality in Çarşamba district; 35 percent of the construction work has been completed. Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Demir said that they are working to protect the environment, to use rapidly decreasing resources efficiently and to transfer them to future generations.

It continues its investments in order to stay in the General Directorate of the Metropolitan Municipality Water and Sewerage Administration.

Greener Biological Wastewater R Plant construction continues unabated. Ventilation and sitting pools, warehouse and workshop buildings, water and appreciation structures are planned to be put into service for the first time in 2022 plans, whose constructions have been completed. With an investment of 855 thousand Euros in physical life, 15,500 cubic meters of wastewater will be treated.

35 percent of the construction has been completed

Stating that Çarşamba Advanced Biological Wastewater Treatment Facility has a great importance both in terms of infrastructure and environment, Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Demir said, “The facility will have a daily waste water treatment capacity of 15,500 cubic meters in the first place. Considering the population growth in the district, this capacity It will reach a value of 19 thousand cubic meters. This is how the planning and design of our facility is. At the moment, the physical progress is 35 percent. The waste water of the entire district of Çarşamba will be treated in accordance with European standards and will be delivered harmlessly to the receiving environment, “he said.

Waste water problem will be completely over in Samsun

Stating that they are constantly working to end the wastewater problem in Samsun and leave a problem-free, clean and healthy environment for future generations, Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Demir said, “We are trying to do whatever our citizens need in all neighborhoods of our 17 districts by working day and night. We are dealing with it as a whole. We have dreams and excitement for Samsun. While realizing these, it is a priority for us to make the city more modern and cleaner. 86 percent of the facility is provided by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization with a grant from the European Union, and 14 percent is SASKİ General It is covered by our Directorate. When it is finished, 15,500 cubic meters of wastewater per day will be treated. After the treated wastewater is made harmless to the environment, it will be discharged to Yeşilırmak,” he said.

Our love of service to Samsun will not end

Stating that their wish is to provide an environment in Samsun where there is no infrastructure problem and especially the waste water issue is never discussed, President Demir continued his words as follows:

With this awareness, we are striving to move our city forward with exemplary projects together with our Water and Sewerage Administration. We have signed great projects for a developed Samsun with our 17 districts and we continue to do so. We have never lost our excitement to always do better and better for Samsun. We stand by our citizens in all areas within our service area, from waste water treatment plants to infrastructure, from the construction of drinking water tanks to maintenance and repair, from superstructure to stream improvement and cleaning works, from the supply of healthy drinking water to the cleaning of rainwater grids.”
