Dale the water molecule

Hi! My name is Dale the water Molecule, and I’m here to talk about my awesome trip through the water cycle! Other water molecules can form in different places, but I was formed in the ocean just like billions of other water molecules! But, let’s get onto the awesome journey I had.

 So just like many other days, it was very sunny and warm outside, but before I knew it… I started FLOATING! And so did my other water molecule friends. I’ve been told this is what happens to us water molecules when the Heat Energy from the sun brings us to the sky.

Apparently they all called it Evaporation. Evaporation is what brings us water molecules to the clouds and we become one with the clouds! For now, that is. When I was in the cloud for a couple days, some of my other friends Condensed, and so did I. Before we knew it, Gravity was pulling us to the ground, and FAST!

While we were falling, all of the others were screaming “PRECIPITATION”! Some of us survived, lucky I was one of them. I flowed into a River and got pulled onto land. When I reached the land, I had realized I had become one with the earth. I had become groundwater, and while I was groundwater I attempted to filter my way and escape to a lake.

 I made it back to a Lake, and I was there for a couple of days before I was condensing again! I flew into the clouds, and back I was. I was just waiting to fall down again seeing if I would reach land again, but it was different! I was heading towards a glacier, which means I froze into a snowflake! And then I became one with the glacier, as if the earth itself wasn’t cool enough.

 Then, another hot and sunny day came and I started to form into a water molecule again. I was thinking if it would be like this forever, and it pretty much was. But one time I was swallowed by an ANIMAL!

This was new, a living animal built with atoms and everything else. I didn’t know how I was going to get out. And I’m just gonna say, I got out but you don’t want to know how. Just kidding, I got out from excretion.  And after another long trip I was back to the ocean.

That’s about where the crazy paths end, and I thought I had seen everything, but that is for the future to decide if I discover new places.
