Miles the Water Molecule

My name is Miles. I am a water molecule that went through a amazing journey called the water cycle. Which started in the ocean.

I loved the ocean there was a lot molecules like me there so it was always a loud busy place. But one day I woke up and was on the surface also about to get picked up by heat energy from the sun. I was getting evaporated and turned into water vapor and quickly became apart of the atmosphere.

I was up in the air for some time and started to feel the air lose its heat energy which made it difficult to stay in the air. Then I started condensing after I found myself on a dust particle with other people forming as one. We quickly became to heavy to carry and started precipitating and started dropping with others because of gravity.

Afterwards I landed in a place similar to the ocean but smaller then the ocean I landed in a lake. It didn’t take me long to do the same thing I did in the ocean evaporate, condensate, precipitate. This time I landed in a river and was moving with the rivers flow but it didn’t take me far I moved into another lake. I did the same cycle as I did before evaporate, condensate, precipitate. This went on for a long time until I landed on soil and became excited for a new adventure.

I was excited to do something new. I started to explore the new place seeping through the dirt then found myself in a new kind of water, ground water. I started exploring more moving through the soil, which I started to regret because I found myself in another lake. I went through the same cycle but instead of precepting as a liquid I became a solid called snow. I started to fall on top of a mountain but this one looked different it was with ice called a glacier. After I was completely surrounded and covered by snow I became ice, and completed my journey called the water cycle.
