Roger Federer

Roger Federer is a Swiss tennis player, born on August 8,1981 in Biningen, Switzerland. He is currently number 2 in the world tennis ranking. Number one in the world is for a record 237 consecutive weeks .

Some experts ,legendary and current tennis players define him as the greatest tennis player of all time .

Federer started playing tennis when he was six.At the age of nine he started attending group tennis lessons , and when he turned ten he started private lessons. At that time he had also trained football, and at the age of thirteen he decided to focus only on tennis .In 1995, at the age of fourteen ,he became the absolute national champion of Switzerland in all youth age groups .In July 1996 he began to participate in youth competitions organized by the International Tennis Federation. In 1998 he won the Orange Bowl under  18 ( unofficial world championship for youth ) .

In June 1998 ,Federer became a profesional athlete ,joining the ATP. His  debut as a professional took place at the tournament in Gstaad, Switzerland.He won his first title on February 4 ,2001 at the tournament in Milan ,Italy .

In  December 2003 ,Federer founded the Roger Federer  Foundation ,which aims to found projects  for children living in deprivation ,mainly in the Republic South Africa .

His Foundation now involves one milion children .

In April 2009 ,roger Federer married his longtime girlfriend and former tennis player Miroslava (Mirka ) Wawrinets,whom he met at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney.

The two represented Switzerland at the Hopman Cup in 2002 .

In July 2009 their two daughters were born -twins Charlene Riva and Miley Rose ,and in May 2014 their two sons -twins Leo and Leny .
