Tuesday morning 6:30.Hungarian Boy’s alarm rings.
As every regular Tuesday during school, Blabla has to hurry again to get the bus, because he was lying
in his bed for too long. Again.
But this already got to a daily thing, the hurrying. Hurry to the bus, hurry to class, hurry back home
again. Just a regular day.
As he made it to his school, which is only a 20 min drive from his home, he heads to his class.
Tuesdays start with History, which is why Tuesday is his least favorite day of the week because
he hates history. Blabla puts his book s on the table and sits down. He lets his eyes wander around the
class, but his vision gets stuck at something that hasn’t been there yesterday.
It’s a new student .She has long, brown and wavy hair. Blabla can’t even spot her top that she is
wearing, because her Long hair is covering all of her back. She’s putting her pencils and a few piece of
paper in place in front of her and starts listening to Mr. Ungarischer Nachname.
Blabla is wondering where she comes from and what her name is and lets his thoughts Row how her
character might be. Being stuck in thoughts, he doesn’t hear what the teacher asks, but gets interrupted
in his Row as the girl starts talking.
Mr. Hungarian teacher wants her to present herself to the class. As she stands up and turns around , Blabla’ s
heart stopped for a second. She is so pretty, with pretty big, brown eyes and a cute nose with some
freckles .He notices that the girl has a little accent in her speaking and
wonders where she comes from .Her name is Diana, she’s 16 years old and comes from Romania.
Wow .Blabla is so impressed that he doesn’t even notice that as Diana sits down again, another boy
right behind him stands up.
Another new student?
He turns around and only now notices the second new student.
It’s a tall boy with brown, short and curly hair and big blue eyes. He is wearing a very cool light blue
vintage shirt with white baggy jeans. Blabla can hear an accent in his talking again. As he figures out,
the boy his name is Luca, he is 17 years old and comes from Germany.
Blabla catch himself how he scam to stare and can’t put his eyes of the boy. He just looked like
one of those perfect boys from instagram that always seem more like a painting than a real human.
He had to stare so bad that Luca noticed. The new student looked at Blabla, who turned away right
instead and now feels his face starting to blush.
Today, it was even harder to focus on factory because Blabla bad to think about those two new students all
the time. He really wants to know more about them, but he knows that he is too shy to go and talk to
them.
Maybe a part of this shyness comes from the fact that Blabla himself was once a new outlander kid and he had always been excluded from any group of friends, reason why he was so interested in finding out more about Diana and Luca.
With every bit of courage he could find, Blabla waited until the lunch break to go introduce himself to them: “Hi, I hope this doesn’t turn out to be stranger than it should, but I couldn’t stop noticing you in the History class this morning. You see, I walked in your shoes this time last year and I didn’t have anyone to stand by me.
By the way, my name is Blabla and I’m from Bulgaria”.
Although confused at first, since Diana and Luca had already found each other in the scary jungle of a high school, they didn’t see any reason why they shouldn’t make their friendship a trio. Shortly after, they found out that not only History, but also Science, Math and Literature were their mutual classes, which meant more time spent together apart from the lunch breaks and the daily afternoons.
In spite of the colossal difference between their nationalities and the initial lack of English speaking experience, even the families of the three became close knit friends and started visiting one another while organizing weekly barbeques. Nobody said that moving into a foreign country would be easy, but their story makes us believe right the opposite!
Not long after that, their friendship went on the next level. As teenagers, it came as natural that they had their first love, started dating and unfortunately also had their first heartbreak. As in consequence, so that the suffering rate should drop off, Diana paid very much attention to the type of girls Blabla and Luca liked and talked to and the boys also protected and took care of her, offering all the support and guidance any 16-year-old girls needs.
In this matter, with their lives carrying on just like a symphony, a year passed in a blink of an eye and they were confronted to the same autumnal sights they had admired when their souls met in that lunch break. They shared a lot of memories from over the year and the summer vacation, in which they visited together Germany, Romania and Bulgaria, met each other’s big families and done a lot of crazy things. There was no secret to be kept between them, or so it seemed.
One day, as the two boys were hanging out at Luca’s, Blabla accidentally caught a glimpse of one of Diana’s sweaters under his bed, the coincidence being the fact that it was a gift for her birthday.
Blabla pulled out the sweater and asked Luke and Diana, What’s that sweater doing
there? They were both silent and didn’t know what to say to Blabla. After a long silence
they were forced to tell him that they were a couple and Diana had forgotten her
sweater the night before at Luke’s. Blabla didn’t know how to react and just left. He felt
betrayed because his friends hadn’t told him about it. The other thing that hurt him
more was that Blabla himself had feelings for her. He decided to go home, and didn’t
pick up the phone to anyone and locked himself up in his room. Weeks passed and
Luke and Diana hadn’t heard from Blabla. They continued to call him, and wrote to him,
but they had no word from him. They checked his social networks, but saw that he was
not online. The two decided to contact the directorate, but they were denied by the
directorate because it was private data. Diana then suggested to Luke to find the
Nimmer on their own. Luke looked at her and agreed with her. In the evening when
school was over they sneaked into the directorate and searched all night. But finally
they got a text from their teacher that they should see each other tomorrow, and talk
about Blabla. Then they both looked at each other and felt that something was up and
decided to go home.
